pettis' takedown defense is highly underrated...and i think the only time it goes to the ground is when pettis hurts guida and pounces on him....HOWEVER, pettis has a HUGE amount of pressure on his back, thanks to his WEC swan song and his number 1 contender status...if theres a letdown to be had, its here.

Agree..Pettis has more tools the win the fight against Guida. The true test will be if he can endure the fast pace and the possible choke from Guida's hair if he happens to smother him with it. All kidding aside Pettis has the best chance to win this fight but my gut says Guida by decsion. I think he will give him more pressure than he is used to and will manage to control him on the ground. Hope I am wrong for potential match ups down the road...but hope I ma right because I picked Guida by decision

I hope Pettis knocks his head off. Guida is an absolute punching bag imo. I do enjoy his fights...he's had some wars but I can't stand him. I am nervous that it is Pettis first fight in the UFC. I hope he comes out gunz a blazin b/c you know Clay will. Any good women's fights coming up Elkisland?

This fight will be a war. I see Guida setting a blistering pace early, and showtime having to adjust thereafter. Pettis is really slick on the ground, I think he'll catch guida late.

Against Ben Henderson, Anthony Pettis showed some great striking and good takedown defense. Guida is tough as nails, and one of the scrapiest competitors in MMA. This is a tough fight to call, but I have Pettis winning the fight by decision. This has the potential to be one of the best fights of the year.
