Prediction: wrong Pettis   wrong KO/TKO   wrong Round 3

Super tough one to call. Guida showed better stand up defense against Takanori Gomi with the caveman dance, but over his career he's been very hittable. Guida has good, aggressive wrestling, but Pettis is very dangerous from the guard. I see Guida being able to dictate where the fight takes place, but I see Pettis being able to win wherever it goes. In the end, Pettis is so much more dynamic than Guida, he has the ability to end the fight at any time, and I see Guida looking to avoid and control for 15 minutes. Pettis by dynamism, but I wouldn't be shocked to see it go Guida by decision. Great fight.

Always love your fight breakdowns. Sorry that we don't have dynamism as a finishing option on the prediction-builder.

I think Guida's chin is good enough to keep from getting knocked out, but Pettis should test it throughout the fight. I think Pettis has a good enough sprawl to stay on his feet, and if not he has an active enough guard to get off the floor. Overall, I don't see any way Guida winning this fight anywhere.

Hey I like Guida but damn Pettis was awesome in the Henderson fight. It will come down to who can impose there game. But neither guy is a chump on or off his feet so this should be one hell of a fight. I can't wait.

I really like this fight to see where Anthony Pettis stands in the UFC LW division. If Pettis is a legit contender he will beat Guida maybe not easily, but it should be a UD or late finish.

many ppl have said the biggest loser of the edgar-maynard draw was pettis...i think he is the biggest winner...he gets a chance to gain confidence by fighting a top 10 LW in the ufc, rid himself of "octagon debut suckage syndrome", and then fight for the title...with a win of course, which i think he gets via submission in the 2nd, after a sluggish 1st round

Striking...

Prediction: wrong Pettis   wrong Submission   wrong Round 2

Pettis is great off his back but lets not forget that he is an excellent striker with a significant reach advantage. Guida may do his little caveman dance but Pettis is quick and doesn't throw random shots. He is very calculated in each shot and every one has a purpose.

This fight is gonna be intense Guida in my opinion is the underdog pettis is the better fighter from what Ive seen. Its hard to say that pettis will knockout guida so I believe that it will put to the judges to decide the fight. This is one fight I am looking forward to.

Prediction: wrong Pettis   wrong Decision

I am torn on this fight. These are two of my favourite light weights. Both have proven to be extreamly exciting, so this fight should be a pleasure to watch. Not 100% decided yet but Im pretty sure I am goin to go with Pettis, he looked so good against Benson Henderson, that fight was going at a pretty wicked pace and Pettis managed to hang the hole time and dish out punishment and mount an offense from multiple positions. I see the Clay Guida fight happening in simular fashion with guida initially pushing the pace, maby taken the fight to the ground or against the cage, but I see Pettis being comfortable where ever it goes. On the other hand Guida has been some what of a gate keeper for the toop 10 lw's and I think he has traditionally always been a good measuring stick for the rest of the division to see where they are at. With a win over Pettis i believe he could shed that image and become a serious top 5 contender diserving of a title shot.

This fight will be great, but really hard to guess the winner. Guida seems to have improved and has bags of cardio, and he won't fall for any off the cage kicks. I can't decide.
