UFC Fight Night Sandhagen vs Song - Predictions, Fight Analysis and Betting Tips (UFC Vegas 60)
This card is a little low on name value but I am actually super keen on it, I think there are a bunch of really competitive fights that will play out really nicely. Underrated.
Cory Sandhagen vs Song Yadong
This is a really interesting matchup, both guys are stand-up operators with varying styles. Sandhagen is a death by 1000 cuts type operator, a slick kickboxer with elusive movement who attacks with angles. Song is an explosive boxer for the most part, working off the back of his jab and trying to finish fights with looping power shots. I can't believe Song is 24.... that is insane. I honestly think it will be competitive on the feet but the difference is Cory's ability to dictate range with his footwork and angles. Cory will use his kicks out of both stances, specifically the teep to the body and the inside/outside leg kick and wear at Song whilst evading power shots. Song's frame looks like it will be tough to go a hard 5 rounds especially if he wants to wrestle. I see a late finish for Cory after draining Song's tank and being evasive - Cory Sandhagen by SUB Round 4.
Chidi Njokuani vs Gregory Rodrigues
Another awesome matchup here. Grappler vs striker showdown. One thing that worries me is Robocop can seem content to fight on the feet when he has a clear grappling advantage at times, if he stays on the feet too long I really do expect the technicality and accuracy of Chidi's striking to give him issues. Chidi is long and uses his reach very well, working off the back of straight shots and a lot of teeps. He is a SP fighter but will switch into OD just to throw leg kicks quickly. He has brutal elbows in mount and in the clinch. Rodrigues has a boxing style with heavy hands. starts with decent head movement and ability to get off centre line but this fades quite a bit after the first round. Chidi has shown decent ability to scramble and get up when taking down which I like and his physical strength especially against the cage will help him here. This is a bloody close fight and I can see both men winning in a variety of ways, going to lean Chidi Njokuani via TKO RD 2.
Damon Jackson vs Pat Sabatini
Grappling delight here in a fight I expect to play out very competitively. Sabatini riding a **** load of momentum with Renzo Gracie Philly and Jackson having a good second stint in the UFC. I think this fight likely comes down to physicality and strength which Sabatini has the edge in. Sabatini's striking is serviceable and I think he is better on the feet than Jackson but the grappling should play out close. I think Sabatini's strength on the ground will likely see him ride out advantageous positions over submission and Jackson's grappling ability should see him negate a submission. Pat Sabatini via UD.

Cory Sandhagen, DEC
i think song is champion material in the near future. i just think cory is on another level. songs young and he will definitely reach that level
Njokuani vs. Rodrigues
Chidi Njokuani, TKO, R2
obama has more tools i guess but he also is there to get hit. and i dont think you wanna trade with chidi. hes been dropped before and even in fights where he uses his wrestling he still gets struck upon
Fili vs. Algeo
Bill Algeo, DEC
i think fili hit his peak. his last win was a split decision 2 years ago. he was just completely starched in his last fight. algeo is on the come up and fili is either at his peak or the come down
Amedovski vs. Pyfer
Joseph Pyfer, TKO, R1
