Wait whaaaaat? AJ and Pitbull on the same card and they're not fighting each other?! What is this madness? I kinda dig it though tbh. Borics deserves the title shot, and it looks like AJ is finally focusing on 155. Spike Caryle is probably gonna get outclassed, but he is by no means an easy fight. Dude is as legit as they come. If AJ does good I want to see him fight Usman and Tofiq. Probably gets destroyed in both but you never know.

I'm really curious what is preventing the UFC/Dana from giving one of these a shot. Is the UFC's reputation as "the best" really hanging in the balance? Is that distinction even important to those people in suits, like if they put up one of their champs vs another organization's champ and they end up taking the L, do their investors then turn around and pull out? ask for their money back? like are there real world consequences to a UFC champ losing in a cross-promotion super-fight, or is it some petty business ********?

Literally every other org is fine with cross promotion

Its a risk for the UFC because the casual fan base does think every other promotion is the B-leagues. If a UFC champion were to lose to another champ in a co promotion that would change the casual thought of the UFC. especially if it was a 25 min beat down instead of a random KO or injury. its too much risk for the UFC and no reward.

The UFC would sooner buy out Bellator or the PFL and just sign all their fighters before they would co promote.
