Wait I misunderstood. Waldo got a fight on a weeks notice or did he offer to step in for some reason on a weeks notice? Also yeah Benito Lopez was who I was referring to, though when I first heard the news earlier today I confused him with Gabriel Benitez for some reason 😂

Also just caught up in what you all have been discussing and I like the idea that ufc is trying to incorporate the contender series signees right away. It more exciting to have new blood on the roster and in years previous I noticed sometimes guys wouldn't fight for over a full year after getting signed.

Yep, I saw that. He was rumored to be on dwcs last year, so I assume he will be fast tracked to the ufc. He looks like the better of the two

It easy to pick apart matchmaking from here but keep in mind sometimes people are unavailable because they are already booked without it being officially announced, injured or just plain reject the fight offer for various reasons.

In addition, Brown is only on a 3 fight win streak with his last win being a split call so it isnt like this is some great injustice. He was matched up with a guy on a two fight win streak in Trinaldo so I'd say this is a completely fair matchup.

Pawan Singh, the guy who got spinning back fisted on Road to UFC, is fighting Carl Booth the 28th I beleive.
I thought the tournament's were suppossed to hold the semis around UFC 280 in Abu Dhabi but I havent heard anything yet.

@random yeah I suppose that’s a fair point. There likely wasn’t anyone available.
Also, is that for road to ufc? That’s terrible matchmaking if so because both guys are coming off of losses. Or is that for ares fc?

Wow what a ******* coincidence. There’s a guy on that same card that Booths fighting on named Islam Reda who’s page I swear I was looking at just earlier. Kinda a crazy coincidence lol. Idk why this dude still doesn’t have a resuelto for his bout with Ali Eliktahib or whatever his name is, but I think it’s safe to assume that Ali won that since UAE Warriors announced him as “undefeated” when he fought and lost on there last show
