Bellator 277: McKee vs. Pitbull 2

Well looks like what i said was ture. Nemkov was ko or bust

idk what I'm more confused by - the way the co-main event was handled, or AJ McKee asking for a rematch with the guy that just took his belt...in a weight class above...

is Bellator in the ******* Twilight Zone or something?

@CheckLeftHook I’m not sure about McKee here but he’s said he wanted to stop making the cut for a bit. Why he expects Pitbull to go up, idk. 

As far as the co-main, it’s really simple, IMO. I’m not saying you, me, her or he has to agree, but I do think it’s fairly simple. Anderson very clearly landed a head but with his ground and pound. The ref saw this and the damage inflicted by it. He did his job and stopped it for a ref to look at the cut. There just happened to be 4-5 seconds (I think) on the clock. At the point he stopped for a doc to look at the cut, it’s no longer at his discretion. It’s at the doctors who gives no ****s, nor should he, about the time the foul took place. He made the call to stop the fight. 

Personally, I’m not sure it needed to be stopped but he did. Whether or not we like the decision, think it’s shady or corrupt or if we thought it was the right call becomes irrelevant. The ref did the right thing stopping the fight after a CLEAR head but. Being the ref didn’t see it as intentional, nor do I or anyone I’ve heard for that matter, it’s still an illegal blow that cut Nemkov above his eye. Ref didn’t do anything wrong. If there’s blame for timing it’s just freaking bad timing or blame the doc. Nemkov didn’t say he wanted out like Aljo. It was the docs call and he made it. The timing was atrocious but completely random. Anderson was the right pick and whooping his ass. He ****** up and smashed his head jnto Nemkov the doc stopped it. The rules state for a 5 rounder it has to go into the fourth to be eligible for a decision. It was ironically only the end of the third so Nemkov got away with one. If there’s any shade it be on the doc from my best understanding of the situation. 

Also, off topic, good advice earlier. I took three days off the grappling and only did light workouts. Just enough to break a sweat and felt way way better the pay two sessions. Good look.

@wanderer AJ won that fight. The Corey Anderson fight should have went to the scorecards instead of being a no contest. Aaron Pico is ranked number four and they're feeding him nothing but cans. Same thing with Tyrell. Rhalan is a can and has no business on the card let alone bein the fifth last fight.

I don't agree with the Pitbull decision but it for sure wasn't a robbery.  I have seen way worse in the UFC.  There was one bum judge that said 49-46 which is ridiculous but aside from that the first round is a toss up.  Pitbull won and I don't think it was a robbery even if I don't see it the same.  Kind of like the Yan and Sterling fight and the Moreno Figgy 3 fight.  Could go either way.
