Small new feature now available. If there is another user that is annoying you, "triggering" you, or whatever, you can now optionally:
- Block them from DMing/commenting on your page
- Have their posts hidden when reading forum threads
To use the feature, just visit the profile page of any user. To the right of their username will be a gear icon allowing you to modify your "relationship" with that user.
Hope this helps reduce some of the friction when there is known bad blood.

DM's will be good. I'd prefer to be called a pigskin autist **** who should kill themselves privately really.

Do a hard refresh which clears your browser cache for that page.
My last post said I could still see myself, but now I can't after doing that.

@Hideff I just tried it out on you. I can still see your posts. Can you try and post something? Maybe it's not retroactive.

Ok, so it doesn't seem to work.
The more I think about it, the more I think a better solution would be a 'hide thread' option rather than a total user block anyway. I'm fairly sure there's a few members who like talking **** with me about MMA who also don't want to be subjected to my Reaganite political rants.

Prediction: When it does work, this place is going to get a lot quieter. Quite possibly dead. Emotions flair in MMA. It will probably turn in to an invisibility festival.

Haha. Possibly. A bunch of places have an ignore list. I personally never needed an icon to click to practice selective reading. That’s just me though.
Cheers fellas.

I was just curious how it worked. like if they were completely just gone of if it was like discord where you can block someone yet every time they post it says click here to see this message. which everyone does for some dumbass purpose defeating reason
-
- HiDefff
@Gregory anyway we could trade this feature to see whose thumbs up or down? so we can figure out who that one moron is that goes in a thread and thumbs down every single post on the page haha and all torture him (within the Tapology guidelines of course)

@HiDeff we have different plans/directions for what will happen to the thumbs up/down system, but not sure when we will be able to get to it.

@Gregory
Personally, I love the thumbs up/down feature as it gives you a good idea of how popular or unpopular your opinions are. Obviously there will be some trolls who thumbs down everyone but that's just a hazard of the internet. As for whether we should be able to see who thumbs up or down I think that would be a good idea as the trolls would have to show their face if they wanted to troll.
As for the new feature I'm sure it will be a great addition when the small bug is ironed out

yea i agree what stephen terry says @greg, on facebook you can see who likes or reacts to your post. You should be able to do the same here. At least put the trolls out in the open.

I couldn’t care less if thumbs up and down were public. Stephen Terry brings up solid point but to play devils advocate,as I like to do, public showings could also lead to revenge and reward thumbs. Personally Isee the fun side of both and plan to enjoy the ride whichever road El Captain Greg takes us.
