Plus, Amagov fighting at LHW against LHW prospect Dirlei. Akop vs. Minu is a good matchup too.

I'm not 100 % percent sure, but I believe this starts 4:45 pm ET in Match TV, that means there will be streams.

**** I just checked out some info that this starts 2:00 pm ET time. So I'm unsure about the start  of the russian broadcast, so you better check back at 2:00 pm ET just to be sure.
EDIT: I just confirmed on the Match tv website, on their TV guide section, that the broadcast starts 21:00 russian time ( that is 2:00 pm EDT) on the "Match! Fighter" channel.

What I am not sure about is whether or not that fight or all the fights in this event would count as MMA fights. Some people are saying the Amagov fight was Sambo. In a IG post from Amagov he said the match was sambo. Another issue is that the event name translated to english is "Sambo" and is promoted by a sambo school. From the clip I watched, I couldnt catch the fight live, the Amagov fight was MMA. Anyaway, the fight video will surface shortly and we can see if the match was announced as sambo or anything.

What I think is that Amagov just had a MMA fight, but the event promoted the fight as sambo or a rumour was created that the match was sambo, so that there isn't any claim from the UFC, in the case of Amagov still has a valid contract with the UFC. I think all the matches were MMA.

Is there any tapology administrator for the Russia region or any russian menber that can confirm if this event was all MMA, sambo or a mixed MMA/sambo event?

They are MMA fights under MMA rules reffed by MMA referees complete with MMA weigh classes, weigh ins and everything. They always call it "Sambo" as a way to promote Sambo as the best martial art in the world and Russians as the best fighters since those events have a bunch of high level dignitaries complete with Putin himself sitting in the front row. Zagorsky even gives speeches about the superiority of Sambo to other combat forms before the events start.

Also S-70 is a very prestigious Sambo school and a lot of guys on those cards originate from it (like the MMA debutant Kopylov here). And you're probably right about Amagov's reasons for calling it "Sambo". That, plus you don't want to confuse Putin.

@Joe Kerr Thanks for the answer man. You are right. What made me doubt was the fact that Karim Zidan also said it was combat sambo. As you said, there were mma weight classes, with mma referes and everything( mma gloves, weight ins, ring, etc) I myself have watched the last 3 S-70 events and there is always the confusion because the events are usualy referred as something like "international tournament in combat sambo", but all the S-70 results end up on the fighters records. I think Putin wasn't on this one

Newton has had a rough go losing 4 of his last 5. Wouldn't be surprise if Bellator decided now was the time to do the King Mo trilogy. If he's still with Bellator that is.

Dr. Glaze I watched the fight. Newton outpointed Erokhin in the first. The second was draw, Newton threw his kicks and Erokhin a couple of punches. The third round was Erokhin's round finally landing a couple more of decent punches. Newton should have used his wrestling and grinded Erokhin down because Is almost impossible to get a decision by outpointing your opponent in his home country. Maye he thought that he would have a harder time taking down a HW. Whatever it was a lame fight, and it's not like Newton Is cetrina destroyed this fight was basically a draw, and he was a weight clases up, but I agree that maybe he could be cut after this loss. I know that Newton was due to fight in November, but he is taking these fights because he likes to be active. Either way is a bad look to lose outside the promotion.
