I think Gray will be cut if he loses his next one.

Willie Gates will probably be put into the TUF house, and he'll be fighting MM next.

They are way too quick to cut flyweights considering the shape that division is in.

Cro Cop has been released - RIZIN is signing them up.

http://www.mmafighting.com/2016/7/20/12232652/ufc-terminated-remainder-of-mirko-cro-cop-s-contract-allowing-him-to

It wasn't Pokemon Go that sent Mirko Cro Cop toward Rizin Fighting Federation. It was actually the UFC.

Cro Cop, the MMA legend, will be competing in an openweight tournament that begins on the Rizin card Sept. 25 in Tokyo, it was announced over the weekend. Cro Cop will not actually fight until Dec. 29, though, after being given a first-round bye.

When last we heard from the Croatian star, he was still under contract with the UFC, though suspended by USADA for two years. In a statement sent out Tuesday night, the UFC explained that it had terminated Cro Cop from the remaining fights on his deal after a request from the fighter, freeing him up to fight for Rizin.

Sarah Kaufman is free agent after the UFC declined to sign her to a new contract.

She would be an obvious good signing for Invicta.

@unbeknownst  I don't know.  Invicta would be a good place for her to fight, don't get me wrong, but I don't know how long Invicta will be kicking around before the UFC thinks about absorbing their talent.  Plus, she could probably make more money working for Coker at Bellator.

@GreenHornet: In the article linked, she said that she wants a chance to return to the UFC. She's probably thinking that this is just a temporary departure. If she goes to Bellator, that's it. She'll be with them until they cut her, most likely.

She's fought in Invicta before and she want's a catchweight fight against Cyborg. I don't think Cyborg would do a catchweight bout outside of the UFC, but a fight between the two at 145 in Invicta would probably do good numbers on Fight Pass.

Bellator hasn't introduced belts yet or a 135 division. I'm not sure how serious they are about making the best WMMA divisions possible outside of the UFC.

I think it's a surprising cut. She's 17-4,fought most of the best girls in the world. She's coming off two losses, but was dominating iirc against Alexis Davis before getting caught in the armbar, and her last fight a split decision vs Shevchenko who just beat Holly Holm. Before that she had a bunch of wins surrounding her loss to Ronda Rousey.I think Sarah puts on great fights, stays in the pocket and trades, has great cardio and a huge heart, she's very entertaining imo and a great vet to put against up and comers trying to break into the top ten and a solid gatekeeper.

She hasn't fought a ton, she's had 4 cancelled bouts in the UFC but all were her opponent pulling out.Terrible cut imo.Meanwhile UFC is filled with TUF fighters and constantly adding fighters from the show that have no business in the UFC but they cut people like Sarah Kaufman, not to mention the probability of the 125 lb female division and how that will effect the FBW division?UFC is turning into a circus.

Danny Martinez and Ben Saunders

Flyweight Danny Martinez has a fight this week in Combate Americas (was coming up of a win) and Ben Saunders has a fight coming up on Minessota. See link: http://www.ticasino.com/entertainment-mn/concerts-shows-mn/fight-night-at-the-island/ A source on twitter is confirming Saunders cut. No word on Martinez status, seems like nobody has noticed he has a fight outside of the UFC.

Plus, not UFC, Gleristone Santos has posted on twitter that he has been released from Bellator.

really nobody else thinks it makes sense to think about reducing the under 155 divisions from 3 to 2?

Flyweight is not that interesting. How many times do you want to see DJ beat the same guys?
