Well, I guess it's good the NAC has stepped up testing. Good in the long-run anyway.
Lombard certainly failed the eye test for years, but now we have confirmation.

Then you might be done with this sport sooner then later, because there good chance Johny is using. GSP seems to think so if you read between the lines of his interviews.

My applause goes out to NAC 6wks into 2015 and the sport of MMA is turned on it's head. It's great news , it is. I'm excited
DUDE! Seriously! Does he not remember he got nabbed for elevated T/E levels?? I mean, I know, it's not the same, TRT, blah blah blah, but still, he got caught doing something illegal and served a suspension and now he's passing judgement??
Anyone who's been caught for something or has a chance of getting caught in the future (because, seriouely, they know what they're doing right?), please shut the **** up.

I'd say 2 years first offense for PEDs only (keep the 9 months for weed or non-performance enhancing drugs and elevated levels - because though they're very suggestive, they're not the actual substance - until you get the balls to deal with those kinds of things properly) and the second time you get caught means you just DGAF so **** off and find employment elsewhere. If you were given a warning (as in a 2 year suspension) and STILL kept on doing it, you can't come and cry about losing your income.
If all commissions go by these rules without exceptions and honour each other's suspensions, we may lose a few superstars but I can promise you roiding will go down substantially.

This is being regulated by Americans and American governments, that believe in creating rules and laws that have catchy baseball references. It would have to be "three strikes and you're out" or it wouldn't fly.

The UFC might have to do what MLB did when they came under fire for rampant steroid use. Institute random testing and make the suspensions severe. A lot of these guys are able to get juiced up because they know when the tests are coming and for the most part know how to cycle so they don't get caught. Honestly though I don't really think the UFC cares if their athletes are on steroids. In fact if they could get away with it they would probably encourage it.

Right now there is no reason to stop. They know if they're smart they can get away with it so why stop? Instituting random testing and heavy fines/suspensions would be huge incentive to not take illegal substances along with the fact they would be allowed to provide for themselves and their families while doing a sport they love.
