I know there are obviously a ton of people on here that are excited for this game, and with some big gaming 'dates' coming within the next few months, we will probably be hearing some legit news about this game soon. I will update this thread as regularly as possible, if you guys find some cool stuff about it, post away! I know there is a video game thread but I don't wanna totally flood that thread with just stuff about the UFC game, so I will just make a thread dedicated to it.

Also, EA just launched an official website for the game recently .. today. So that must mean something is coming soon.

Just read an article that says sways will not be in the game. They have been completely replaced with parrys. Parrys will be assigned to 2 buttons (along with block), 1 for high and 1 for low. Not sure how to feel about this. Don't like it.

I saw in that compliation video that Anderson Silva is a 95 overall, only appears for half a second around the 0:03 mark.

Never understood boxing and now MMA games....Tekken and Mortal Combat are just more fun.

Nomad's right. I could play Mortal Kombat II or Tekken back in the days all day or everyday and never got bored, like 3 months of UFC and I'm already bored. Plus this ****** this game up big time without the sways, I knew they only relied heavily on the visuals. The gameplay might look but fun but even EA MMA had sways! I used to love being Anderson Silva and just swaying the opponents punches. So gay it's gone now. Meh.

Sways are in. Here's the article I was talking about. Read through it. It sounds like sways aren't in any more. Well now at the end he has: So it seems like he's complaining that side sways are useless.. just like every other MMA game so far.

Clarification - it seems like I've given some the impression that the sway system in EA Sports UFC doesn't exist. This wasn't my intention. I feel that the sway system as it exists in the game currently feels two-dimensional and incapable of delivering what players need. Ducking to either side didn't seem to matter as shots from either hand still found their home, which meant the only real option was to swing back, away from my opponent's strikes. When players can utilise a far more accessible and effective block or parry the sway system seems like a poor also-ran option.

anyone know if they are implementing the OWC like in Fight Night champion? that was by far the most fun I have had in a fighting game online

Thats great sways are in then, I thought it was only parrys. Besides why the hell didn't they add in TJ Grant's beard???
