I know there are obviously a ton of people on here that are excited for this game, and with some big gaming 'dates' coming within the next few months, we will probably be hearing some legit news about this game soon. I will update this thread as regularly as possible, if you guys find some cool stuff about it, post away! I know there is a video game thread but I don't wanna totally flood that thread with just stuff about the UFC game, so I will just make a thread dedicated to it.
Also, EA just launched an official website for the game recently .. today. So that must mean something is coming soon.

I was pissed off about THQ delaying it and it was basically the same game as the previous one with a few new moves and a different submission system. EA regardless of people's dislike for them know what they're doing...

They're delaying it to coincide with the next gen release.

What about Fedor? It's been awhile since I've played it but Fedor was always great to use and felt pretty authentic.

Yeah, you may be right... I beat him once on the highest difficulty with Overeem. Complete fluke flash KO.
There were some aspects of the game that were so good. Like when someone over-committed to a punch and if you timed it perfectly then you would completely shut off their lights out of nowhere...
The fact that you could have legit fights was cool too. Once you got good enough at getting out of bad situations then you could have 5 round wars rocking each other back and forth unlike the UFC games where you have a certain amount of times you can get rocked and you either have a boring fight or end up getting knocked out in really awkward fashion.

As far as you guys talking about EA MMA, i still play that game occasionally, i still think it's cool. Fedor's overhand right killed everyone on the game

I wouldn't worry too much though because it's being handled by the Fight Night team and as far as commentary Fight Night was always great from what I remember. Good calls, good banter and unlike UFC commentary, they would start and finish a story instead of "Interestingly enough Joe, Anderson Silva actually said that.." *Hit the guy with a jab* "HE'S ROCKED!" "THAT DEFINITELY HURT HIM MIKE!"

Joe and Mike will have to put in some serious hours though if the game's commentary is going to flow well and sound natural. It shouldn't be every top fighter has original comments, stats and stories but the rest just have generic commentary. Every single fighter on that roster should be handled individually and have their skills and stats broken down.
I would assume that Kenny and Anik will be involved to and they might actually sound more realistic in a video game than Rogan and Goldie.
