I know there are obviously a ton of people on here that are excited for this game, and with some big gaming 'dates' coming within the next few months, we will probably be hearing some legit news about this game soon. I will update this thread as regularly as possible, if you guys find some cool stuff about it, post away! I know there is a video game thread but I don't wanna totally flood that thread with just stuff about the UFC game, so I will just make a thread dedicated to it.

Also, EA just launched an official website for the game recently .. today. So that must mean something is coming soon.

I just posted this in the videogames thread.

It may be delayed until March 2014.

March isn't that long to wait really... I'd rather they do it well than rush it. Besides, as far as gaming goes it's really just a matter of waiting until GTA V comes out and then that's all any of us who buy it will be playing until at least March.

I was pissed off about THQ delaying it and it was basically the same game as the previous one with a few new moves and a different submission system. EA regardless of people's dislike for them know what they're doing...

They're not delaying it to improve it.

They're delaying it to coincide with the next gen release.

The way I see it, if they delay it there's no reason for it to be a bad game so if its not perfect ea will be worst company 3 years running

They better have EVERYTHING in it. TUF gamemodes, womens fighting, DEEPLY DETAILED CAREER MODE, and i mean DEEPLY. Like EVERYTHING a fighter has to go thru to make it to the top. Create a fighter features better be next level as well.

#1 on my wishlist? Make each fighter feel authentic. Something EA MMA failed to do.

@Mike Agreed, It felt authentic with Nick Diaz and Cung Le...other than that, everyone was the same.

It was weird. Cung Le and Nick Diaz felt awesome. They damn near perfect Nick Diaz's style, along with Cungs. Then they just got lazy with the rest.

Cung Le was so sick in EA MMA. It was ******* crazy.

What about Fedor? It's been awhile since I've played it but Fedor was always great to use and felt pretty authentic.

I haven't played in a while either .. cause you know, EA just likes to ******* shut down servers (another thing that worries me about this game). From what I remember Fedor felt similar to 90% of the roster .. he just had STUPID power and could finish you in like 4 seconds.

Yeah, you may be right... I beat him once on the highest difficulty with Overeem. Complete fluke flash KO.
There were some aspects of the game that were so good. Like when someone over-committed to a punch and if you timed it perfectly then you would completely shut off their lights out of nowhere...

The fact that you could have legit fights was cool too. Once you got good enough at getting out of bad situations then you could have 5 round wars rocking each other back and forth unlike the UFC games where you have a certain amount of times you can get rocked and you either have a boring fight or end up getting knocked out in really awkward fashion.

The new EA game will either be ******* awesome or really terrible, at least that's how i think it'll go. There will be a lot of anticipation, and if it's just average, I think a lot of people will be let down.

As far as you guys talking about EA MMA, i still play that game occasionally, i still think it's cool. Fedor's overhand right killed everyone on the game

whatever the quality of the game is.. they should make Mike Goldberg appear in the lower right corner of the screen saying "Goldie!" everytime a KO by uppercut happens.

Another thing that worries me.. The commentary. I remember playing NBA 2K12 and being absolutely amazed at the commentary then EA released a demo for the game thye never actually released NBA LIVE 12.. The commentary was such ****.

"To Kobe, to fisher. Miss by Kobe." so ****.

EA can't do commentary.

Madden and NHL commentary doesn't have any problems but FIFA commentary is legitimately atrocious.

I wouldn't worry too much though because it's being handled by the Fight Night team and as far as commentary Fight Night was always great from what I remember. Good calls, good banter and unlike UFC commentary, they would start and finish a story instead of "Interestingly enough Joe, Anderson Silva actually said that.." *Hit the guy with a jab* "HE'S ROCKED!" "THAT DEFINITELY HURT HIM MIKE!"

I WANTED TO HEAR THE ******* STORY!!!!!!

Joe and Mike will have to put in some serious hours though if the game's commentary is going to flow well and sound natural. It shouldn't be every top fighter has original comments, stats and stories but the rest just have generic commentary. Every single fighter on that roster should be handled individually and have their skills and stats broken down.

I would assume that Kenny and Anik will be involved to and they might actually sound more realistic in a video game than Rogan and Goldie.
