Although I'm pulling for Tim, I have absolutely nothing against Hector and I'm a big fan of his as well.

I love this type of fight. No matter who wins, you aren't THAT disappointed.

Hope Lombard can get it, hoping more that he doesn't gas out.

Lombard should win this. For all the criticism about Lombard's weak level of competition, it's not like Boetsch has beaten the Who's Who of the UFC either. His best win was against Okami, who totally dominated him for 2 rounds. If he gets dominated like that again, Boestch will be going nightie night. However, to his credit, Boestch has a ton of heart and obviously showed that against Okami. I think he'll be determined enough to last the whole fight against what will be a gassed Lombard. Still, Hector will do enough in the first 2 rounds to get the judges nod.

It's showtime for Lombard.  His entire arguably irrelevant career and winstreak has been built up to this fight.  He dominated Bellator for years, and has wins over some tough opponents.  I'm picking him to win but I'm not sleeping on Boetsch for a second.  Boetsch is resilient and he proved that against Okami.  Wouldn't be surprised to see Lombard fade and Boetsch finish him.  We'll see.

@Anik: Thanks for posting that. That was funny as hell. I've never been a Bisping fan, but I must admit, that was good. So Hector Lombard's new nickname is "Poison Dwarf"....lol

I think Lombard should take this one. Boetsch has a nice reach advantage (74" vs. 67.5") and some size on Hector, but Lombard is arguably better than Boetsch in all the areas where Tim usually wants the fight to go. Boetsch is good in the clinch (check the throws on Ring and Heath), but he's going to find it hard to get much done against an Olympic-level judoka like Hector, and I believe Hector has as good of a chance to get it to the ground with his judo as Boetsch does with his wrestling. Lombard also has a Black Belt in BJJ that should help him nullify any offense from Boetsch being on top, and escape to his feet. When it is on the feet, I expect Lombard to find success with his fast hands and devastating power. One more thing to keep in mind is that Boetsch is a bit of a slow starter. He lost the first round against Ring, and was dominated by Okami for the first two rounds of their fight. If he gets off to a similar start against Hector, those first couple of rounds could turn out really bad for him. I wouldn't count out Boetsch, especially as the fight moves into its later stages, but it should be a good night for Lombard.

Lombard doesn't impress, but I just can't go Boetsch

Boetsch showed a lot of heart in the 3rd round against Okami, but it didn't erase the first two rounds in my memory where he was just dominated.  If, or when, Lombard catches Boetsch I don't see Lombard giving him a chance to recover.
