Making an NHL only thread, because I'm sick of seeing the Peyton Manning thread riddled with hockey talk.

So fellow Canadians, REJOICE!

EDIT: And Americans too, we know some of you love hockey as well.

Question to hockey fans:

How short is the Roberto Luongo leash this year?

SUPER short. Cory Schneider is a good goaltender, and to be honest, Luongo sucks in the playoffs, and I think Schneider will get the nod eventually.

Schneider started some games last year in their run and you could say he's even better this year so agree with Nik..super short

So in terms of games, if the Canucks start off the series at 0-2, Luongo will get the axe?

What if they're down 3-0, but Luongo plays solid in all 3 games (i.e. letting in 3 goals at most while maintaining a 92SV% or higher).

If they go down 0-3 but Luongo is playing great, Luongo stays in. if they go down 0-2 because of Luongo - Game 3 you would see Schneider

Would you agree that Luongo is a very good regular season goaltender?

Yeah, he is. He is like a lot of NHL stars. Great under no pressure, but the second theyre needed to step up, they fold under pressure.Thornton- Ovechkin- Semin- Luongo.

I really like the Nucks/Kings matchup just based on their goaltender situations.  Both have backups that probably could be traded and made starters on some teams, we could be looking at the starters for the 2014 and 2018 olympic teams

@Nik Lust As much as people rag on Ovechkin for his playoff performance, statistically he's the best playoff performer in the NHL. 50 points in 37 games are some amazing totals.

And yes, Quick had an amazing season and he should win instead of Lundqvist because Lundqvist has an great team and Quick does not. He bailed out the Kings time and time again and he should be nominated for the freaking Hart. He won't be (Giroux, Stamkos, Malkin), but he should.

Cory Schneider scares me more than Luongo in the playoffs.  They both have holes but Luongo was statistically ineffective in the biggest series of the playoffs.

What does that have to do with fear of Schneider's playoff performance?

TSN TOP 10 PLAYS! WHAT ARE YOUR THOUGHTS?

TSN has Crosby bias, his goal shouldn't be in the top 10. It was a sick goal though.
My favorite goal was the Ribeiro goal, is it me or is he on the highlight reels every year?
