I really thought Holland would make it closer than it was.

I would love to see JDM against Brady being rebooked. I think he would maul him badly.

I arbed out on my initial bet on Grasso so I can just sit back and watch this one with a win either way. If Grasso wins though that's always a bad feeling in that situation. On the other hand I don't have to get a stomach ulcer hoping for Valentina to lose.

tonight we have seen the best version of JDM: excellent boxing as always, really good Fight IQ, Perfect TDD, impressive Defense Skills. Tonight JDM showed a much better hand speed especially compared to a fighter who has an excellent throwing speed like Holland, the head kick seemed like a great weapon that he managed to connect clearly on several occasions. Holland proved to be a really tough fighter taking many clean shots from JDM, always a fighter with a difficult style to decipher in striking and 170 pounds seems to be a place where Holland can establish himself as an interesting fighter without problems.

Holland make a good fight, but in my opinion JDM clearly won and I personally liked his attitude after the split decision: JDM no longer seems like a hype train to me, but rather a fighter outlined to be a contender. JDM is 6-0 in the UFC and the next step must be a fight against a ranked player who is higher in the ranking (whether rescheduling his fight against Brady, a fight against Luque or against someone else ranked) and it will surely be a duel interesting.

I live bet on JDM after R1 at almost coin toss odds because i thought all the power shots were in his favor and Holland was just goofing around i hold the bet till the end. When i heard split decision and D'Amato the deciding vote almost **** on my pants

I actually think JDM looked tired on weigh ins and on the night. It's a pretty short notice with less than 2 months having to fly from Australia to Las Vegas. He had that homeless beard vibe going strong.
I think he will back better than ever next time around provided he gets some recovery time and a full camp.
