@thepro I get that, but that was from 2.5 years ago. Clearly he’s improved since then & he also has high level wrestling he can go to if he wants. I think it’s something to be cautious of but not a concern imo

Well, aside from betting.

I am not the biggest T-Wrecks believer... But man... Nazim was pretty fortunate to get that dub his last fight.  I am worried about how he will deal with McKinney in round 1.

Also ode’s striking defense and Azat are very different. Ode is a punching bag with very readable head movment and never puts his guard up

Part of my problem with him is that watching his fights, I don't know how high level he is yet.  We are going to find out within a couple fights I imagine.  The level of competition is just not there and it is hard to find that level on the regional scene at that weight class.  Flyweights are pretty slim pickins right now.

Ha.  Topuria has been dropped quite a few times over the years.  Nice fallacious argument attempt, though.  I never mentioned Azat getting dropped.  I only said he leaves himself open a bit for my liking.

Ode has abysmal fight IQ.  He quite literally jumped right into the punch that killed him against Nam.  I don't expect Azat to do that.  But he will have to protect himself better than he has in other fights.

Nazim chances of winning go up exponentially if he can escape round 1, which is going to be rough.

I think McKinney is potentially fighting for his job here which makes him even more dangerous than usual. I dont think Sadykhov is anything special but I also don't think hes bad. This is a fight Im just not sure he's ready for.

@thepro if argue his comp is good. He’s fighting for brave/naiza/octagon which are all pretty high skill level for regionals. Even if the guys he’s fighting aren’t that good at mma, they almost all have some combat sambo background so that’s something at least. He looks very high level to me

Yeah, I just don't see it.  Just like in the UFC.  There are guys that have terrible fight competition level in the UFC because of how diluted the pool is.  It is what it is in 2023.  I can't say that he is high level or just a guy yet.  I can't argue for or against it until I see him take this step up.  If he comes out looking like a beast after beating Nam and then another step up, I think you very well could be right.  I just see a lot of reversals with him on the ground.  A lot of back and forth.  He is still 28, so I have to assume he is still improving but he is now in his prime or close to it.

I am definitely not a fan of Nam's output.  Very low.

I think Mokaev is still getting better.  Same with Taira.  They are solid.  I think the jury is still out on both as far as where they end up.

Both those two guys you mentioned are kids, my man.  They are so young.  Azat is kicking 30s door down here.  This isn't the same thing to me.

And even if Nam were to pull off the upset on a one-shot KO, I don't think that qualifies Azat as a fraud right away.  I would 100% give him a pass on first fight jitters.

taira and mokaev are not solid, they are phenomenal. they are the future of the division
i pray both of them get playable lines their next fight

azat is 28, yea, so what?

hes 16-0.

this unknown hate towards azat because he got dropped(but overcame adversity which is key) is really shocking to me

but hey this will create good lines on azat. just like it did with shavkat(got dropped before the ufc and they said he was fraud) when he was like -130 against alex cowboy

and plus look at the top 5 at flyweight.

these guys arent untouchable

they new champ is legit a brawler on the feet

most of the top flyweights are harmless too

i think that guys like manel kape, jake hadley, tatsuro taira, mohammad mokaev, azat maksum will start to usher out these guys like kai kara france, tim elliott, brandon moreno, brandon royval, alex perez, matt schnell

Lutz vs. Bagdasaryan

Predictions: 11 of 13 Winners, 6 Perfect, 725 Points   |   Tied for 378th

Why is so much money coming in on Lutz? Anyone have any insight or has Lutz just been deemed "Dog of the Week" by degens?

Not that I don't think its a competitive fight, but I don't get what people are seeing in Lutz. He could capitalize on Bag's bad habit of throwing naked kicks in too close of range (how he got caught and eventually submitted vs Calibou) but I feel like Lutz is a bit too slow and sloppy for that with not much power.
