I also hope Acosta gets beaten soundly, he's so one dimensional and he shouldn't get away with it 😂
Not one dimensional like striking only, like BOXING only. A few leg kicks and he's in trouble. Maybe he's already learning and has bolstered it but guessing not.

Damien yeah that's true, one skill will take you a lot further in heavyweight than in other divisions. Even lhw and mw.

trub1nho I think and hope that de Lima wins but I'm not completely confident.

Acosta is live. 31 years old vs 38 years old and with height and reach advantage. Probably speed advantage as well and has power.

I don't recall De Lima leg kicking very much, I expect him to mix in wrestling though, and that will give Acosta trouble.
But it's a HW fight, they might just stand and box in which case betting on the younger fighter is not a terrible bet.

Newson vs. McGhee
Marcus McGhee, DEC
IGNORE PROPS. I know Mcghee stepping in on very short notice. Although Newson has much more XP (a bit padded) its hard to see him as such a favourite (~1.6) when he is riding a 1-3-1 skid. McGhee is a decent prospect boxer/wrestler and can fight a boxing fight with Newson if he wanted to. Again I like the MMA lab product because he has a clear path to victory if he utilizes his wrestling (he can wrestle/ground control;) and is wary of the submission threats. Dont really see Newson as a BJJ guy like Nascimento. Going with the very short notice dog at 2.45.

Song vs. Simón
Ricky Simón, DEC
SIMON ON THAT MERAB HUNT.

Borralho vs. Oleksiejczuk
Caio Borralho, DEC
Coste-lite W.

Brundage vs. Vieira
Rodolfo Vieira, SUB, R2
This has to reach the ground eventually, Brundage is good but I don't think his power will be at play after getting slept so recently. Viera late round 2 sub.

Erosa vs. Padilla
Julian Erosa, DEC
Erosa coming off a KO loss recently but I think Padilla isn't the caliber of fighter to pull off another finish; and when a fight don't finish then Erosa tends to win them.

Cortes-Acosta vs. Rogério de Lima
Waldo Cortes-Acosta, TKO, R3
I'm putting faith in Waldo knowing how to defend a takedown, he threw big shots against Vanderra without tiring for 3 rounds so I can see it adding up to a stoppage in R3.

Quinlan vs. Waters
Trey Waters, TKO, R2
He lost to Bonfim, and looks great despite fighting just a week ago. I think he's gonna catch Quinlan in R2.

Buday vs. Collier
Martin Buday, DEC
3rd decision in a row.

Durden vs. Johnson
Cody Durden, DEC
Durden is gonna send that boy back to Missouri (I think he's the better striker and wrestler, gonna grind out a decision)!

Egger vs. Alekseeva
Stephanie Egger, SUB, R1
Alekseeva overweight, probably overconfident in her ground skills. It's gonna go to the ground and I think Egger is gonna show her levels early on.

Newson vs. McGhee
Marcus McGhee, TKO, R1
I wasn't confident in Newson against Kelleher. But now? A younger, hungrier dude with power and in great shape? Yeah, R1 KO.

Cowan vs. Horth
Jamey-Lyn Horth, SUB, R2
Flipped a coin. (Hailey missed weight so that's a plus)

Watching Gane and Blaydes both looking like they don't know what they were doing in the last fight lost my respect for the heavyweight division NGL, They both the creme of the creme for heavyweight standard they both should have better performance

I still like Heavyweight and lightheavyweight because it meme, But the skill aren't the best, And in fact the only division I hate is women batamweight and featherweight

I went back to look at his last 2 weigh ins and I actually don't think Juicy J looked all that different on the scale. He just always seems to look like **** on the scale.

When I was trying to find Erosa's UFC 279 weigh in I did notice that Jake Collier looked freaking rough on the scale for that event. He was breathing heavy and for sure carrying more fat on his upper body. Starting to make me wonder if that is why he had such **** cardio in that Barnett fight. He isn't the best cardio guy, but he is usually a lot better than what he showed in that fight. And I think Buday's best win condition is to try and hang on Collier and tire him out. Skill for skill I like Jake.

I don't think Erosa looked bad on the scale, a bit paler, eyes glittering. You could tell he's had a cut but not an uncommon look for fighters on the scale.
