@corygraves totally agree. His striking is really good, but any fighter with half decent wrestling or grappling will beat him. Not really sure journey is gonna be that guy tho. He doesn’t wrestle that much and when he does, it’s not very effective

McGhee's boxing looked pretty good in his last fight, but that opponent was a punching bag who looked tired 2 minutes into round 1. How do you fight at 135 lbs and have your mouth opened 2 minutes into round 1? I might have to lean Newson just on experience. I wish there was more tape of McGhee against half decent competition. The best guy he fought just ran through him on the mat and we didn't even get to see his striking.

Yeah that last dude he fought is among the worst I’ve ever seen🤣 but watching newsons tape I think mcghee is just simply better. So many questions about him tho

Gotta just love how the UFC doesn't care to promote this card on their YouTube, so they just spam you with Power Slap ****. 🤢🤢🤮

Cowan over Horth

Predictions: 3 of 11 Winners, 1 Perfect, 200 Points   |   Tied for 3529th

Changing my pick to Cowan. She will be bigger and stronger. I can see her holding Horth up against the cage and grinding out a decision. Other picks are much the same

Best Bets

Predictions: 3 of 11 Winners, 1 Perfect, 200 Points   |   Tied for 3529th

This is another tricky card. Again will list my favourite bets and fliers and 2 parlays. Be cautious if you are tailing me, this card has a lot of landmines. Some of the odds for these picks may not be out but I am going to play them in some shape or form when they drop.

Best bets
1. Quinlan/Waters Fight Does Not Go the Distance
2. Simon/Song over 2.5 rounds
3. Buday/Collier to start round 2
4. Egger
5. Erosa
6. Vieira
7. Borralho

Flier bets (Less likely to hit but rolling the dice for good odds - I would be happy with 50% hitting)
1. Vieira Inside the Distance
2. Quinlan ITD
3. Simon Decision
4. Collier Decision
5. Cowan Decision
6. Erosa Decision

Parlay 1
1. Quinlan
2. Simon/Song over 1.5
3. Egger
4. Johnson/Durdan over 1.5
5. Borralho

Parlay 2
1. Erosa
2. Simon/Song over 2.5
3. Quinlan/Waters FDNGD
4. Collier/Buday over 1.5
5. Vieira ITD

Good luck!

Predictions: 6 of 11 Winners, 2 Perfect, 390 Points   |   Tied for 849th

There are not a massive amount of big names on this card. To me though it strikes me as a card that will provide a lot of fun finishes and perhaps some entertaining sloppy fights. I like turtles and I like a funny sloppy fight if it is not literally every fight on a fight card.

My brain is telling me Simon can mix up takedowns and strikes enough to win a UD but I also partially think that Song can stuff these takedowns and steal rounds by landing harder strikes. Albeit with much less frequency. Such a strategy can be tough to win with.

I am torn between the two but will favor Song to pull out a decision in what will probably be a SD with weird judging on both sides. I would not be surprised if 1 judge has it 4-1 Simon, another has it 4-1 Song and the last has it 3-2 Song or something crazy like that.

This fight has a weird judges decision after a back and forth technical fight written all over it in my opinion.

Sorry to be a ************* with my opinion. Cawd.

Glad to hear from you lad, your breakdowns are first rate.  I can't pick Journey Newsom because he presents himself as hittable time and again and is obliged.  He does have the experience, but he's used it to block shots with his head and body.  McGhee is new and raw and Journey might KO him and I might be a right dumbass, but I don't think so.  Likely Newsom gets handed his hat by KO.  I have Haily in the opening prelim, due to her speed and strength and experience, all of which are irrelevant, as I nearly always L the first fight.  Good luck to you and all.

Prediction Comments

Predictions: 3 of 11 Winners, 1 Perfect, 215 Points   |   Tied for 3432nd

Song vs. Simón
Ricky Simón, SUB, R3
Song has that big right hand and forward pressure that may get him an early victory, but I see Ricky slowing him down against the fence, grinding, evading and eventually submitting Song

Borralho vs. Oleksiejczuk
Caio Borralho, DEC
Whew this is a hard one to pick. Oleksiejczuk pressures forward with heavy hands and goes to the body early, so Caio will have to use his movement, kicks, and counterstriking skills to survive the early rounds. Caio's punches can get loopy in rd 3, leaving his chin available, and Michal when tired and pressured moves backward in a straight line, also leaving himself open for a KO.

Brundage vs. Vieira
Rodolfo Vieira, SUB, R2
Brundage has the talent and experience, can grapple and wrestle but rushes in for those TD's too quickly sometimes off the counterpunch, and gets caught. He'd do well to keep distance with the jab, or else Vierira will wear him down with calf kicks and his own hard jabs and constant pressure. He'll pull guard in rd 2 because his cardio isn't great and he could tire noticeably if it goes past that

Erosa vs. Padilla
Julian Erosa, K3
Padilla has a style that will always win him the D if there's no finish in a fight. He's always touching his opponent, jabbing, pressuring, clinching, dirty boxing, taking one to give one, urging his opponent to get into a brawl and not a fight. He's not at Juicy J's level, and how is his cardio against the constant movement and from the hip punches that are hard to see coming? They both have that take-one-to-give-one mentality and killer instinct, it's a matter of who is disciplined enough to make it work in their favour

I want to say Cowan by headkick or ground and pound, but statistically (speaking of WMMA) that's not likely

Don't think I've ever been more certain Rodolfo Vieira is getting a finish than against Brundage. I like Brundage but this seems like a mismatch with where these two guys are at right now.
