Fight Predictions
Predictions: 5 of 11 Winners, 1 Perfect, 290 Points | Tied for 1930th
Cortes-Acosta via KO, Round 1
This is pretty straightforward. Waldo has got some serious power in his hands and Vanderaa has a very low fight IQ. He's lost 4 in a row (his most recent one being against Chase Sherman for crying out loud) and this will be number 5. After this fight, Vanderaa will just be a memory and no longer on the roster.
Josh Fremd vs. Tresen Gore
Fremd via KO, Round 3
Gore has nought had a professional win against a fighter with more than one professional fight. Dude has some good leg kicks and powerful shots, but Fremd has a decent chin and is a good wrestler. I can see Fremd tiring out Gore with wrestling and then finishing him in the second or third round with a nasty hook.
Dustin Jacoby vs. Khalil Rountree Jr.
Jacoby via Decision
Jacoby is a very crisp kickboxer with very calculated strikes and a solid chin. Rountree relies heavily on power strikes and tends to gas out as the fight goes on. I see Rountree possibly winning the first round with some powerful strikes, but as long as Jacoby can survive the first round, I think he will just focus on volume striking to put himself ahead on the judges scorecards. I don't think he'll be fishing for a KO because Rountree has the ability to end the fight with one shot.
Phil Hawes vs. Roman Dolidze
Hawes via KO, Round 2
Although I don't like how much of a betting favourite Hawes is, I don't see him losing this fight. Hawes doesn't have the best chin but he does have dynamite in his hands, as well as some solid wrestling abilities. While Dolidze really made a statement in his last fight, his other UFC wins have been against basket cases (Staropoli, John Allan, and Ibragimov). I haven't seen Dolidze's chin been tested yet in the UFC and I'm pretty sure it will happen in this fight.
Carlos Mota vs. Cody Durden
Mota via KO, Round 1
Definitely on the hype train for Mota. This dude is a ******* savage and, despite losing, went toe-to-toe with Johnson in arguably the best LFA fight I've ever seen. His striking is brutal (especially his leg kicks) and I think he can finish Durden. Maybe it won't be in round 1, but I think Mota finishes Cody with some crazy combo KO. However, Cody shouldn't be counted out completely. He's never been knocked out and will definitely pose a challenge to Mota in his UFC debut.
Very excited for this card. While it may not look the best on paper, it should be very entertaining from start to finish. I also have no clue on who's winning the main event but I'm leaning towards Calvin. I'm surprised that he's the underdog but I'm sure the fight will be very competitive.
I think a parlay of Jacoby ML, Cortes-Acosta via KO, and Fremd ML with total odds of +417 on DK will certainly rake in some cash. Put $100 on that ****.

I see a lot of upsets and hardly contested rounds so hope the judges are awake and not paid off.
My picks for what its worth went for finishes for points here.
