In the post-fight conference...Cowboy said that Nate challenged him to "not do any of that gay wrestling ****" hahaha...that's why Cowboy wasn't capitalizing on those leg kick/sweeps. Cowboy said he would play him at his own game.

Cowboy is a real badass...great fight. Loved the exchange of middle finger's too.

For me Friday night rolled down to Cerrone wanting to prove that a cowboy from new mexico is just as badass as a guy from Stockton.  When i look at these two fighters in particular they match up well against each other and if they fought 10 times I would not be surprised if it was 5-5 when they were done.

@Lawman as far as the Diaz brothers having sloppy slap boxing technique in both the Gomi and Cerrone fights Nate looked to be throwing a lot straighter punches than he has previously in his career and took out two of the best strikers in 155.  Gomi may not be what he was in his prime but the Fireball Kid is not usually someone you want to trade with and Nate did it well.  he also outstruck Cerrone.

Pride goes before destruction, and a haughty spirit before a fall.

is a lesson that Cerrone hopefully learned Friday night.

I doubt Cerrone would have wrestled Diaz anyway. When he kept sweeping and leg kicking Nate to the ground he was probably legitimately scared of being submitted. If he thought he had a chance of doing successful ground and pound, he would have. Give it a rest and get over it.

I think Diaz wins that fight 8/10. I still like Cerrone more every time i see him though, and that includes this loss. Hey where did K1shields go?

Agreement or not, Cerrone is stupid for fighting the way he did. Greg Jackson told him to take Diaz down and he completely ignored him. Cerrone stated before he didn't want to be ready for a title shot if he won, and he showed it 100%.

He looked slow and sluggish and i think it was because of his active year. Cerrone needs to man up, he's got all the abilities to be a contender, so why not try be champion and make the most money you can instead of taking the ass kicking he did....

I was very disappointed with the way Cowboy fought, but with all that said. Nate Diaz looked ******* better than ever. Looks like he's finally taking onto his brothers style of boxing..... I think it'd be pretty sweet to see the brothers both fight for a title in the same year!

Ya it'd be really sick. Imagine, 2 titles are held by the Diaz brothers, 3 are held by Black House, 2 are held by Jackson's Submissing Fighting and then there's the flyweight title.

As much as Cowboy didn't his whole arsenal, neither did Nate Diaz. And I believe that most people would agree that Nate Diaz's jiu-jitsu is better than Cerrone's. And December 30, he showed that his stand-up was better too.

Cerrone isn't as good as Nate Diaz, simple. He got beat at his own game.
