In the post-fight conference...Cowboy said that Nate challenged him to "not do any of that gay wrestling ****" hahaha...that's why Cowboy wasn't capitalizing on those leg kick/sweeps. Cowboy said he would play him at his own game.

Cowboy is a real badass...great fight. Loved the exchange of middle finger's too.

Kalibo man. Even if you buy this (which i don't), that only shows that cerrone is very bad at gameplaning and at prioritizing, which makes him less good as a fighter.

I love how some nuthugger keeps down-arrowing Kalibo because he disagreed with the "deal" and thinks Cerrone would have won w/o it.  Who knows what would have happened, but I would have liked to have seen that fight w/o the promise to keep it standing.  Cerrone could have won those rounds if he got on Diaz and threw a few punches every time he kicked Diaz to the ground.

Nobody is "nuthugging", but it is sort of ridiculous to try to use this to discredit Nate Diaz

Who is trying to discredit Nate? What are you talking about?  We are using it to discredit Cerrone you ....We are saying that the deal Cerrone made with Nate is garbage and absolutely changed the way the fight would have gone.  I even said Nate gave him a boxing lesson... my goodness.

I don't think any less of Cerrone for losing that fight. Nate beat his ass, plain and simple, happens to everyone at some point. I personally think Cerrone was riding high from such a great year and maybe underestimated Nate. Sure, cowboy could've jumped on Nate and maybe won a round but he also could've gotten tapped just as easily. I wouldn't be surprised if these guys ended up fighting again in the next 15-18 months or so anyways, so maybe we'll see what happens next time.

It doesn't dis-credit Nate, It dis-credits the deal.  Cowboy admitted to not using his full arsenal... that has nothing to do with Nate or Nate's victory that night and doesn't dis-credit his victory... If anything the deal and Cowboy's admitting that dis-credits him a tad... I didn't mean to offend you @buffalo.

I admitted Nate whooped on Cowboy.. but when I found out about that side promise he made.. it just irritated me a tad... I felt the same way @Dake did.  I guess I wish I never knew about the damn "no ground" promise Cerrone made to Diaz because Nate asked him to...

Cerrone lost, Diaz was the better man. Get over it, move on. This is coming from a guy who wanted CERRONE to win by the way.

So K1, do you realize that Nate Diaz is a legitimate contender at 155 pounds now?

Nate fights MMA, so he should know that "gay wrestling ****" and deal with it.  Cerrone should have never agreed to such a pathetic plea.  Even with that being said, and giving Cerrone the benefit of the doubt, that doesn't mean he needs to stand directly in front of Diaz and get into a pitter patter contest like so many others have done with the Diaz brothers in the past.

The Diaz brothers would be the pound for pound greatest in history in professional slap-boxing, if it existed.  So with that in mind, why would you stand there and let them slap you?  Use counter punching, defensive movement, angles, etc.  Capitalize on their sloppy boxing technique and let them have a false sense of security in their stand-up.

@Buffalo Are you  serious?  Nate Diaz a contender? Well he might be a contender, if he's next opponent doesn't use any of that gay wrestling **** either.

pretty serious

I'm not saying he's top 5, but he's one of the toughest 155 pounders in the world, and a handful for anyone at that weight. You said he was the co-main even only because his name was Diaz, and that's just not true. Sometimes you come across as someone who doesn't know a whole lot about mma, and I'm curious if you are learning or if you are just pig-headed. He put up a good fight against Gray Maynard, and that was the last guy to chalenge for the belt.

Edit: Nate is dangerous off his back remember?

My guess is Diaz will be fighting the winner of Henderson/Edgar for the title.

I think Nate is still a fight away from a title shot.  He just got back to LW and now has 2 wins in a row.  I'd give him the winner of Miller/Guillard or even a re-match with Maynard or Guida.  But he is definitely in the picture now for sure.

I think the Miller/Guillard winner would be a really great fight and would definitely but Nate in a position to fight for the title should he win in as impressive fashion as his previous 2 fights.
