Well you could make an arguement that a couple of those did catch him on the back of his head. Were they intentional? no. Did they do any real damage whatsoever? no. But the ref saw what he saw and stopped the fight.

This fight is going to be for Erick Silva like Jon Jones' fight with Matt Hamill. It will count as a loss, and they won't change their mind about it because they never do, but the UFC will treat Silva as though he won, and push him further up the ladder. The kid is a beast. I picked this fight perfect by the way, and Mario Yamasaki is my least favorite person in mma right now

I should be 9/10 with 3 perfect on this card because Erik Silva won that fight, and Yamasaki should never ref a fight again. I used to like him as a referee, but now, I'm really beginning to not like him or respect him as an MMA ref.

Yamasaki isn't a bad ref. All refs eventually make a sketchy call. What we need is instant replay, and structure in exactly what constitutes a stand-up or a point deduction.

Well, it was a bad call but this ref is normally pretty good. I don't see Dana penalizing Silva for this,so I don't think it's a big deal. Everyone knows he took Prater apart and he'll continue on as if this was a KO.

Jones' case was diferent because the guy really couldnt continue and the blow was clearly illegal.
in this one, we saw way worse...

That is one of the worst decisions by a ref that I've seen. Silva never targeted the back of the head Yamasaki makes more bad calls than any ref I've seen. He stole Silva's win, this isn't the Jones situation where it was blatantly illegal blows but legal blows miscalled by a ref. Yamasaki still holds as my least favorite ref.

i forgot but someone had brought this up earlier last night as it happened and im not sure how or if it was answered but Why the hell didnt they warn Silva about the blow (not plural) to the back of the head?? I mean shouldnt a fighter be warned prior to being DQ'd?
