Mario Barrios suffered an absolutely brutal KO last time against Gervonta Davis, the type that can change a fighter and I'm not sure he'd have fully recovered from that enough to take on someone of Keith Thurman's calibre.

Tank did TKO Barrios, but it was a body shot and more of an accumulation type TKO.
Leo Santa Cruz had his head sent into orbit by a brutal uppercut that Insta slept him and he didn't move for 5 minutes!

Yeah you're right, I'm mistaken. It was the brutal uppercut, straight KO one I was thinking of. I saw on his record that he got KO'd by Tank and just assumed that was him.
If you ask a casual at about half 2 in the morning who the latest guy Gervonta Davis ****** up was, you're gonna get these sort of answers lol!

No worries mate, easy mistake! They both look similar too, Barrios and Cruz, both tall, skinny lanky (compared to Tank!) Mexicans with the slick back Black hair style
The KO is always worth another watch!!!
you said you're worried about how Barrios will come back applies to Santa Cruz, that was a career changer. Especially for a guy with a near 20 year career! Possibly an upset on the cards?

Well if it was Leo Santa Cruz VS Keith Thurman then my same reasoning would apply but now that I know it wasn't, that opinion no longer stands as it was based on faulty knowledge. My new opinion on the Thurman VS Barrios fight? No ******* clue but my gut feeling is that Thurman is slightly better so I'll just stick with that pick. As for my opinion on the Santa Cruz VS Carbajal fight? Again, no clue but I like Santa Cruz more so I'll just stick with him and hope that maybe that punch wasn't as devastating as it looked.
EDIT: Ignore all that **** I just said. I've just watched that KO again and HOLY **** that was somehow even worse than I remembered! Maybe I should reconsider my pick. Oh **** it, I'll leave it! Anything can happen in boxing and as I said, I like Santa Cruz more. But Jeez, that uppercut was lethal!

As for Thurman Barrios, I think it's going to be close. The Bookies agree, with - 200 +150, close for Boxing!
If it was 5 years ago I'd have Thurman all day, he was the no 1 Welterweight around. But he's fought like x2 since, has had a tonne of injuries, major shoulder and hand surgery. Lotta red flags, especially after just watching a similar thing last weekend with Gary Russell Jr I'm thinking about taking the younger fresher fighter. It's a close call tho

Remember Fernando Vargas??/ He had some amazing wars vs Tito Trinidad and Oscar del a Hoya in the early 2000s and was an amazing action fighter! Well this is his son, his other son was meant to be on the card to but something happened, not sure? His kids are definetly his kids!! They are gonna be entertaining fighters for the next few years and involved ion some action fights!

Another close fight here! Cowboy Karl has fought and beaten better opposotion. Juarez last time vs a kinda step up , 20-4 All Rivera, he was beaten badly! Not sure how I feel abour Juarez after that? He is the younger prospect, meant to win, but Karl is a PBC fighter too. Thinking the Cowboy gonna beat Juarez again

Possible upset here! Hunter is coming off a loss vs a similar Mexican he was meant to beat. Silverya is 1 of those famous Mexican bangers with the funky ass record! That you have to be weary of! Nery used to be the scary guy in the lower weight classes, key words "used to be". Castro is a slight underdog but I like him to outland, outwork and maybe even get a late round TKO stoppage. Body work will be the key IMO.

Dont let Hernandez fool you, he just beat recent unified 154 World Champ Julian Williams and Alfredo Angulo, he also beat 16-2 former fringe contender Aaron Coley and a 14-0 Valvida x2 back to back! I'll say ity agin "Beware the Mexican banger with the Funky Ass Record!!" Ramos tho, well he looks the goods! He is certainly being pushed that way, he's appearing on all the 2022 best prospect lists! He is a power punching pressure fighter, always fun guys to watch!! Ramos should win this 1, but Hernandez is no joke!
