Bobby is one of my favorite fighters. But he will not win this fight. Can he have success here? Yes. Can he gain some momentum during the fight? Yes. But he won't win, his takedown defense is good, but Islam's MMA wrestling and grappling skills are elite, this is the difference. He's hard to control on the mat but it's hard to create a scramble when someone is as heavy from top position as Islam. And even on the feet Islam is good defensively and Bobby won't be fully focused on striking offense, he will expect takedowns. It will create some openings for Makhachev and make Bobby's chance for KO win even less likely because his output won't be as big as it should be. Even if he's able to defend a couple TD's or get up, he's not dangerous enough to capitilize on it. To get knocked out by Bobby Green, you have to be seriously slow or flat footed. Islam probably submits Bobby here but won't be completely shocked if it goes the distance. Although 25 minutes is a lot of time.

Makhachev said in the interview yesterday his goal is to finish Green in the first round.
He just said he plans to talk to him when he has him on the ground. He also reiterated that he feels like he needs an early finish to justify him getting a title shot next.
