Alright folks, 

As you might know I'm Tapology Boxing editor. I know the majority of you guys are here for MMA, so was I originally. But for the last year or 2 there is a little more interest in Boxing on the site. 

So here's a place to talk boxing.

How tf is that main event even sanctioned.  Roy is old af and last fought pro at 200 while Pettis fights at 155

What I'm curious about is how are they all getting paid? Like I can't work that out in my head, so that's why I'm wondering if anyone here has an answer. Is it something very obvious that I'm not seeing? The only way Masvidal can get these big names is by guaranteeing them some good money, I doubt they would all come together on this card because of the power of friendship. Does Masvidal have some big sponsors or investors, or did he peddle enough of that Mezcal liquor to get this rich?

Sarcasm wasn't directed at you. This whole "Influencer boxing " pish is becoming more annoying to me.  The longer it goes the more confident these kids become. 
Why can't we just make KSI vs Artur Beterbiev next????? 

Unfortunately KSI has turned down that possibilty.

To be fair, the only one who is truly delusional on their skills is Jake.  KSI has no plans to continue after he fights Jake which is his ultimate goal.  There are only 3 influencers that I think could actually have a decent pro career if they wanted it.  Salt Papi, who was already getting praised by pros saying he needs to get out of this scene already.  Walid Sharks, who was a Golden Glove winner in his youth and definitely has technical skills (he's actually fighting on a low level pro card in Michigan next month).  He’s also only 18 with plenty of time to develop.  And Deen the Great but I don't believe he plans on moving out of this scene.  Other than those 3, there really isn’t anyone who would have any success if they tried this for real and for the most part they are aware of that and intend to “stick to their lane”

It's incredible to see the Light-Flyweights putting their belts on the line. How long has it been since they've had a champion hold 3 of the 4 belts? Feels like it's been forever. 

Michael Carbajal held 3 of the 4 in 1994 but never held all 3 at once.  He lost the IBF and WBC belts to Humberto Gonzalez at the beginning of 94 then won the WBO in the second half of the year.  That's the closest we got I believe

Ok yeah technically yes but at least he isn't saying he can beat Canelo lol

Also hearing that Muhsin Cason vs Taryel Jafarov at 200 lbs is on the Paul-Fury undercard
