If this happens before December then it's a shame for Masvidal. This is the biggest opportunity of his career by far.I hope they at least pick him up as well.

I hope they let him fight Masvidal still then bring him in after for a title unification bout if Melendez beats Gamebred

Hell no...Ben Henderson/Clay Guida is for the #1 contender...Melendez keeps his fight with Masvidal and then comes to the UFC to face the winner of Maynard/Edgar and Bendo/Guida....Guillard can go line up a couple rails while he waits

@soccer. if you read the article it says dana wants him ASAP. no fight in december in SF. it will happen the way i said it. might not be guillard he fights. might just get winner of maynard/edgar.

I'm getting the feeling that we may not even see the end of the HWGP.

Let's hope Dana actually comes to his sense.  I would love to see Barnett in the UFC again.

I think Melendez should fight Pettis, Guillard, or Cerrone. Any one of those would be a badass fight!!!!

Melendez deserves better than that @jay.  If they bring Melendez over immediately, he'll most likely fight on a UFC December card officially screwing Masvidal.  They have a number one contender shot already lined up with Bendo/Guida.  I would imagine they would have him take a #1 contender fight first.  Against who?  I have no idea.

This is great but I hope they also bring over Masvidal. Masvidal would be a good midlevel LW in the UFC. They also need to go out and get Alvarez.

Melendez won't be the champ after he fights Masvidal ;)

..***.... why wouldn't they just do this earlier if they didn't intend to have Masvidal vs Melendez.

i think strikeforce is pretty much done with any big name fights coming. i looked at the fight schedule on here and see only one event thats near the end of the year. hopefully they will keep some female mma going.
