I think he has a ton of talent, and I will be interested to see what he can accomplish in his career. Everyone keeps calling him the future of mma and I think that's making his head even bigger. He's a young fighter and he needs to mature a bit to become the future of mma. Take his rant on replica belts for example. He doesn't like people to be able to have a belt that looks like his because he works hard for it, and they can just buy it. It's not the belt that makes the champion, it's the fighter. The belt is nice, but being called champion because you are the best should be what matters, not a stupid belt.

I said it a long time ago, that Jon Jones was going to be the UFC LHW Champion. The first time I saw him fight was when he fought Stefan Bonnar. Now Stefan Bonnar is a tough fight for anybody at 205, and Jones made his decision over the TUF 1 alumnis seem relatively easy. The next fight of his that I saw was his fight with Matt Hamill. Yes Jones lost by DQ on that fight, but prior to the illegal elbow, Jones was demolishing Hamill. At that time, I'd never seen anybody do that to Matt Hamill before. Not like that anyways. Then Jones tore through Brandon Vera, Vladimir Matyushenko, Ryan Bader, and Shogun with relative ease. He shows improvement fight after fight. If Jones keeps on this track, he could become the greatest fighter of all time. Am I a fan of Jon Jones? Hell yes I am. Despite some of his out of the octagon actions and things he's said, Jones is still an exciting fighter, and seems to be a genuinely nice guy.

I don't hate any fighters... Seriously.  But I don't see why people would have such strong, negative feelings about any athlete unless they cheat or commit a crime... and even then, I wouldn't use the word hate.

You could all just stop reading and listening to his interviews and watch him fight. Or is that a silly idea?
