I'm assuming he goes back to 170 after the Munoz fight. He's too old and undersized to be at 185.

Well deserved resigning, bit of a **** return match up though with the weight class up, short notice, and a pretty highly ranked guy. Hope he pulls it off

I still don't think there's even the remote chance she passes a drug test ... but it'll be interesting to follow ... PEDs or not, her talent is undeniable.

Renato Velame (19-7) vs. Petr Yan (1-0) at the Berkut card. I guess he's replacing Naldo.

UFC's Igor Araujo (25-7) is taking some time off MMA due to his wife having cancer.

Usually we're always rooting against injuries but with Elizeu Zaleski training and waiting to step in for Koscheck against Erick Silva if need be, I am actually hoping Koscheck has to pull out and let the former and most recent Jungle Fight welterweight champs go at it.

Speaking of Jungle Fight, they're doing a lotto type drawing at random to drug test 2 of the 24 fighters on the card coming up.  It's at least a step in the right direction, as they've never conducted one in their previous 11 years and 75 events.

You know the scene better than I do @vazio and @Legz, Jonas Bilharinho the current Jungle Fight 135 champ and if he wins in 12 days, the first ever Jungle Fight multi-divison champ as he's taking on the 145 champ too.  He's obviously UFC caliber along with his teammate also a 135'er Mattheus Mattos, both undefeated out of Team Nogueira and Bilharino being the champ in the biggest organization in Brazil.

Soooo, Bellator offered him a really good contract 9 months ago and he turned it down saying the UFC was his goal but that he may reconsider if not offered by 2015.  Bilharinho went to the TUF Brazil 4 tryouts as a 5-0 135 JF champ to be among the 8 Bantamweights and they not only didn't pick him among the 8, and I have zero doubt he would've been in the finale fight, otherwise one of those 8 guys would have his gold if he wasn't top 8, but the UFC also hasn't even tried signing him yet that anyone knows of.  Is there any more to the story that is not known?

As in Wallid maybe told the UFC to wait until after JF 76 in a few weeks since it has three titles on the line and is their first event to be on their new partnership with Band TV so will be the most viewed JF ever in Brazil (But the UFC already pulled Zaleski from the 170 title bout `just in case` Koscheck or Silva pulls out.  Is it because Bilharinho cuts too much weight to hit 135 on just 2 days notice as would be the case on TUF in the house (I know he's talked about moving to 145 permanently because of the cuts getting harder and longer and he is debuting there fighting for the belt on 3/28 but hasn't said it's permanent).  Are they waiting to see if he wins when moving up to challenge the JF 145 champ since he might be a 145 signing for the UFC instead of 135 since he's only 24 and considering a move up?  Have they decided to stop signing guys around 5-0 potential stars and prefer 10-4 mid-carders for some reason?  Or is it because Team Nogueira had likely the two top young undefeated 135'ers in Brazil in Jonas Bilharinho and Matheus Mattos and rather than Mattos getting a title shot against his teammate in JF next as he'd likely be due, or risk the very strong chance of them meeting in the finals as teammates who don't want to fight each other on the TUF 4: Brazil finale if both were in the 8 chosen, so they just had Jonas stay in JF and Mattheus go to TUF to avoid them meeting either place?

Just curious if you know something I don't because Bellator will be back knocking very shortly if they aren't already and now that Mattos went to TUF so they won't be pressured to meet in JF or TUF, and the UFC already took the 170 champ from his bout `in case` Kos pulls out, what could be what they are waiting for in signing Jonas?  It reminds me of when I wanted the UFC to sign Mirsad Bektic when he was 4-0 in 2012 and they finally did 2 years later when he was 7-0.  Hopefully they don't have a minimum # of fights rule on new signings in the UFC because there are a lot of 4-0/5-0 guys who by just watching them, you know they'd smoke these 10-4/8-3 signings that happen instead.  Anyways, long paragraph, just wanted to pick your brain if you know or have seen anything about why he's not only not signed but not on TUF: Brazil 4 and there's not even any talk that I've seen on it.  There's about a zero in a million chance 8 other Brazilian BW's beat him out for TUF, so if it's not due to weight cuts not being something Team Nogueira wants knowing they'd have the two favorites for the finale fight, he would be on the show.  But I still don't see why there'd be no word of him even being in talks to sign.  I'm assuming there's more info on it on the websites in Brazil since that type stuff doesn't get covered up here anyways but I still like to keep track of certain local prospects nationwide and worldwide.

Don't know why he didn't get into TUF but the UFC regularly rejects good guys. Could also be that Mattos made it and he thought it would be better to fight for Jungle and eventually get signed. No clue but he should be in the UFC soon.

@Legz It seems like a lot of the Bantamweights in this TUF Brazil have fought most of their career at Flyweight.  Do you think that the winners from the Bantamweight group will move back down to Flyweight should they land a deal with the UFC, or will they move up to 135?
