@joking_joe  Either Max Holloway, Cub Swanson, or Dennis Siver is what I would want to see for Barao's 145 debut.

According to sherdog: "As a result of Alves’ failed drug test, CABMMA has changed the result of the bout to a victory for Viana, who also reclaims his lost belt with the reversal."

Sort of new to the whole MMA writing thing, but I started a new series on MMA Sucka where I list off around 10 of the best fighters to look out for in a specific country or state. Figured it was suitable to start with Brazil. If this does decent traffic on the site, next will be Japan. Any feedback would be much appreciated. Also, even some recommendations. I had a list of around 30, but I didn't want to do that much. If I missed any obvious selections, let me know and I can edit them in as well.

@MikeLovesTacos  Solid article.  It was very well written and there was a lot of solid prospects on that list.

Primeiro Round Combat 2 has been postponed, I'm still waiting on confirmation on the new date, but it will probably happen in May. Not sure if the awesome card will hold till then, though.

Guys, did anybody know that John Teixeira fought outside of Bellator late last year? The event's name is Eco Fight Championship 17, EFC 17, in Amapa. His opponent was changed last minute and John won by split decision. As far as I know by John's social media, he was given permission by Bellator. Is there any way this fight is added to his record?

@Kinsala nice one, thanks! I'll add it to the database asap, a lot of those smaller shows from the north region of Brazil (you know, where the Amazon forest is located) go unnoticed cause every major news media is from the south/southeast area (Paraná, Rio de Janeiro and São Paulo) and they don't give two ****s for what happens over there in the north.

Ricardo "Demente" Abreu officially retired from MMA at 32. He was suspended for two years by USADA for Nandrolone last year. He cites depression as his main reason to retire, as he wants to treat it and can't do it while fighting and being tested.
