Holy **** that is a lot of draws. Do you think they will ever start doing 3 round fights? I understand the whole thing about the viewing the fight as a whole and whatever but the logic of having 3 rounds and a winner is pretty sound.

No, they've always done 2 5 minute round fights.

Even if they have 3 round fights, there could still be a lot of draws.

The problem is that ZST has a weird rule set where in certain fights if the fight goes the distance it's a time limit draw, but in other fights if the fight goes the distance it's up to the judges decision.

I believe ZST rules are the ones where if the fight goes the distance it's a draw and RINGS rules are the ones where if the fight goes the distance it goes to the judges scorecards.

Japanese fans don't care so much about fighters records, that's why they're fine with so many draws. They care mostly about fighting spirit and the quality of entertainment the fighter puts on in fights. Which is why you could see guys coming off 5 loses and winning 2 fights and quickly earning a title shot in certain JMMA organizations.

Yeah, JMMA is run very differently than overseas MMA.

They're doing some more grappling ZST GT-F pro and amateur fights from a tournament they're running which is why I haven't updated in a bit, once the MMA fights continue, I'll continue with the live result updates.

Oh yeah, I was wondering about that time limit draw.. That is interesting. haha they should make all fights that dont finish a draw (in america) or all split decisions draws. I'm kidding but actually curious to see how that would work. A lot of fights that are 'robberies' these days should have been draws imo.

Zst has decisions, but they have no judges so it has to be a clear cut win or something like that if I recall correctly. Either way they have weird rules and decisions rarely happen

The only fights in ZST that end by a decision are under RINGS rules. ZST rules don't have decisions if the fight goes the distance.

Yamada vs. Kobayashi and Watanabe vs. Makigaya are fights under RINGS rules, so if they go a distance there'll be a decision.

So if the fights under ZST rules and we pick the fight to end via decision then there is more chance of someone getting a black beauty 10 times in a row?

So why not add draw as an option on here for people to pick when picking ZST fights or other fights they may think will end in draw?

It would be too much unnecessary code work to add it plus it doesn't happen much outside of Zst and it's almost non existent outside of JMMA

What Live said. Way too much programming work for something people would rarely use.

@jeremy yeah it's true what skelliher says.  no harm in asking since it seems on its own like it would be handy.  but it would be a lot of work for us to make it - more than people immediately realize.
