Polish MMA Thread

Tapology member Halny has started to send us a lot of updates about happenings in Polish MMA.  He's never posted in the forums, but I'm encouraging him to come here and start providing updates on cards and fighters in Poland.  There's a lot going on in that country!

I won't be surprised if Badurek doesn't fight on ACB. She usually has some problems with weight cutting or her health...

the mighty 0-3 Marcin Najman is going to shock the world and get a first round knockout El Testosteron!!

Since they cannot have a UFC in Poland just yet, I think they should have one in Chicago with the largest Polish community outside of Warsaw.

Leszek Mosingiewicz's trainers protested result of his last fight with Kamil Szymanski. Only reason is their feeling ("odczucie" in polish) that Leszek won this fight.

10 days and UFC will probably announce a date of event in Poland! Krakow or Lodz are the most probably places to organise event,

Hope that is true.

It will be fantastic. Some more informations:

- polish UFC fighters (Jotko, Omielanczuk, Sajewski) are in training and they don't have announced fights,
- Jan Blachowicz is going to be special guest fighter on UFC in Stockholm. Moreover, Luke Barnatt, Nick Hein and Joanne Calderwood are invited. Maybe UFC is going to announce events in 4 European countries: Germany, Poland, England and Scotland. 
- Asia Jedrzejczyk said on twitter that their next fight is faster than she thought,
- more probably is 11th April, because 4th is a day before Easter - it's important for Poles and we celebrate it for 2 days (Sunday and Monday), specially Monday is interesting day :) http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/%C5%9Amigus-Dyngus
- if UFC wants to organize event in 11th April, it could be only in Krakow, because Atlas Arena(Lodz) and Ergo Arena (Gdansk) have other events in this time.

Some sad information for polish fans is that Joanna Jedrzejczyk won't fight for title in Poland. She said:

"It will be USA and it's understandable, because the champion is American and there (in USA) is going to be first title defence, but plans are distant. We don't know any details".

Antoni Chmielewski - 2x KSW Tournament Winner, now PLMMA fighter - refused offer from ONE FC. Now, he is waiting for offer from.... UFC.

"We are waiting for answer from UFC. Everything will be clear until February. Maybe they will need somebody from Poland, because Krzyszof Jotko's hand isn't cured still."

Maybe the UFC can snatch Khalidov after the first event.

rappinpapsoda,do you know anything about Mamed's situation? Because I know a lot and I can't be optymistic about Khalidov in UFC.

I have heard several times that it there is a slim chance to go to the UFC. I even heard they offered him an amount he did not like so he refused.

You heard good. Forget about Mamed, he chose money 2 years ago (~150k dollars per fight)  and no one in Poland believes in Mamed as UFC fighter.

KSW 30 will take place on February 21st in Poznan. Fights are gonna be revealed in few days.

He gets paid 150k a fight?  Is KSW making that much revenue to pay him like that a few times a year?
