My mind says JDS, but my heart says Hunt. How can you not root for Mark Hunt in this fight.. would love to see him get the title (and then have his first defense against Roy Nelson haha). There's something entertaining about seeing two fat guys slug it out.. but those two have major skills in the cage!

I'm still picking JDS, but will be a great fight none-the-less.

@poir Oh ****, son. According to that link and his tweets he has been dealing with these visa/passport/customs issues for 3 days now! I hope he gets through okay.

Fuuuuu . Just sneak him through Mexico , it will be simple , they dont stop nobody. Dana can have a chopper pick him up on the other side .

@ p4pgoat - there is no doubt how tough JDS is, but when I broke down that area, I said in my post, I would give both fighters a 10/10, but because I had to give a slight advantage to Hunt over JDS, I gave JDS a 9/10. That's only because he's facing Mark Hunt. If JDS were facing any other HW, I would give JDS a 10/10. Roy Nelson is another guy who would get a 10/10, but against Hunt, I would give Roy a 9/10. This is just one of those situations where the ranking changes because of the fighters that are pitted against each other.

It's kind of like GSP vs. Carlos Condit, Johnny Hendricks, or Nick Diaz. Against any other WW, GSP would usually get a 10/10 in overall striking, but against one of the 3 aforementioned WWs, IMO GSP gets a 9/10.

Perception is in the eyes of the beholder, but I think that Hunt is just a touch better in the toughness area than JDS, but we won't know until they fight.

I love JDS, but I'll be rooting for Hunt.  It would be so cool to see him actually fight for the belt.

Hope Hunt wins this, but I think this will look very similar to JDS/Nelson. There is a pretty massive speed advantage, I think if Junior works the body of Hunt for a while, come late 2nd round / 3rd round, Hunt will be pretty tired which will allow JDS to cruise to a decision.

It will be interesting to see if JDS chooses to stand or seek the ground game. Not because he's scared of Hunt's standup, Just because Hunt's weaknesses are the mat and cardio.

If he's smart he will/should.. I think.  All it takes is one punch for Hunt to win and JDS is much more well rounded.

@Mike I hope JDS doesn't fall for the hype and fight an MMA match. Hunto standing is no joke!

I'm 0-4 on Hunt picks.  I'm a ****** Mark Hunt fan! 

Dana white just confirmed that Nelson has been approached and will likely fill in if Hunt can't make it. But he's still confident this fight is on.
