This MMA community has many non-MMA threads already.  Music, Jokes, baseball, football, etc.

So, I thought it might serve a purpose to create a thread for all the other contributions to each other's lives that don't fit anywhere else.

Do you have something that would enrich the community culturally?  Maybe dance, comedy, nutritional, inspirational, arresting visuals?  But please let's keep this positive, and appropriate to the general public.

Maybe a video clip of a movie, broadway show, highly unusual, utterly creative, a cutting edge piece of information, a new computer application, or something that would make someone's life better or richer.

Thanks for participating, Kalibo.  Looks like you're an elder round these parts.  If you sign in, maybe the others will feel encouraged.  You sound rather moderate for a fight site.  Can't go wrong with Lucas and Scorsese.

When you say Scorsese everyone thinks ganster movies with De Niro and Pesci, but he's so much more.

Found 2 photos of me running.
Rancocas Valley Regional HS, winning cross-country team, around October, 1967.  We had just won our league championship of Burlington County, NJ.
I am bottom, 2nd from right.

Top Row, L-R: Marv Newell, Bill Garrison.
Bottom Row, L-R: Coach Ray Hoagland, Bobby Moore, Lee Dennison, Jimmy Price, Bill Burgess, Rick Upton.

Here is the start of a race against local rivals, Pemberton, fall, 1967.  I am third from the right, breaking through.

@MQuestionalbe  What the hell is that bloody mess about?  Needles?  What a god-awful horrific shot.  What is it?

I'm not knocking it or criticizing.  It's kind of mesmorizing in its way.  I like it in my perverse way.

That's Thumbtack Jack vs DJ Hyde in a wrestling match at one of the CZW Tournaments of Death.  Jack's signature weapon is the syringe!

He's retired now though.  I believe he paralyzed himself during a botched spot in a wrestling match.

Wow, the Burgess fascist movement is out in full force. Apparently, I can't tell anyone else I respect their views. This in a world where maplethorpe has been regarded as cutting edge. Didn't realize Cultural standards are being evaluated by the Chinese ministry of cultural acceptance. Lol.

Since I have not censored or criticized anyone on this thread, I am bewildered by the snide remarks.

You know, guys, I am working REALLY, REALLY HARD HERE.  Some of my posts take a very long time to compose, and I invite others to share their cultural contributions, too.

Ass dancing may not be my cup of tea, but I didn't down arrow it either.

And when I posted a fantastic video clip of the fabulous Nicholas Brothers performing a incredible dance routine, someone down arrowed it!!!!  I kid you not.  I assume it was Gunn, or trae.  But an assumption is not an accusation.

I realize that I'm much older than most here, and most here have not seen the older stuff.  So, when someone goes to the trouble of digging amazing stuff out of the dung heap of history, why down arrow?

I'd rather you just said, 'Thank you.' and let it go at that.

And I also did NOT criticize the bloody photo.  That too is cultural.  I simply was curious and asked what it was to.  And it was horrific, and that's not criticism.  It's merely factual.  So, what's your problem, Blackwork?

Bill, I simply pointed out that based on the information you've asked for in your pro forma bio script, some people who were so inclined would have a decent shot at coming up with a real life name for some otherwise anonymous posters. I also thumbs uped several "unconventional" posts regarding topics that apparently don't fit into the worldview of some others. Rather than accept that, some feel it's best to thumbs down my tolerance-driven and security-related posts. No big deal, of course. But I'm your huckleberry if there are sides to be had on this. Recognizing, of course, this is an Internet message board. Bring it, Burgess. ;)
