When I found out today that Mighty Mouse had another opp., i was pretty surprised. He just found but then i thought well maybe its a long ways down the way yet.

Well thats not the case. Mighty Mouse has another title fight 3 months after his last defense. Before that he defended his belt 4 months after getting it.

Two title defenses in 7 months. That is the fastest turn around for any UFC champion.

UFC doesnt want people to think of the flyweights as different but yet they treat them differently.

They should get off their butts and get more flyweights. Am I right or is it in the words of Dana " man people are such ******* nowadays, i cant ******* stand it bro, just ******* *******, makes me want to throw up man, ******* ******* i tell you"?

If MM wants to take fights, what's the problem? JBJ had 4 fights, 3 title, in 1 year and I didn't hear anyone complaining. Benson Henderson had 3 title fights last year, was that a bad thing? I really don't understand what the complaint is. A dude that is the best in the world at his weight class wants to fight and you would deny this man his opportunity to please crowds and make money? That's not just anti-American and anti-capitalism, that's anti-humanitarian. If Anderson would fight 3-5 times a year everybody would be jumping for joy, but he won't, so......that sucks. MM wants to fight 3-4 times a year and you would what, deny him that opportunity? Seriously, this thread is dumb, this complaint is dumb, and I ran out of things to call dumb.

What the hell is this stupid topic even supposed to be? Why shouldn't the flyweight title be defended regularly? Why is another defense coming quickly a bad thing? What does the UFC needing more flyweights have to do with regular title defenses???

Unless MM is defending the title against the same 3 guys in rotation I don't see the problem.

i think being a lighter guy helps you to be more active.
So, its very good that he can fight in three months and maybe he defends once or twice more this year.

Plus, Moraga is a good contender. I dont think its headliner material tough

This isn't a very good troll job..  no clue what point is trying to be made.  It's ultimately left up to the fighter whether or not they sign the contracts.  If Mighty Mouse wanted to take some time off, he would.  Clearly he'd rather keep active.  Good for him.  Unfortunately for me he's the champion I least look forward to seeing fight, but still great that he isn't just sitting on his belt.

MM may clean out his division too quickly at this rate, that's the only negative I can see from this.

@Arnoud A UFC Flyweight title fight is not good enough to headline a TUF finale? Really? It's basic cable, so I gotta say it sounds like a pretty great fight to headline.

Pretty sure its a combination of MM wanting to fight and not sustaining major damage and the UFC trying to pump up interest for the flyweights.

If MM wants to fight, let him fight. If a champion wants to defend his title 6 times a year, and can be medically cleared to do so, then let him fight. I don't expect every fighter in MMA to fight as often as Travis Fulton, but 4 times a year is not that many times a year to fight.

Rocky Marciano fought on average of 7 times a year during the course of his career, Sugar Ray Robinson fought on average 11 times a year. That was boxing where fighters fought for 10-15 rounds. Now granted MMA is much tougher on the body than boxing, but if a fighter wants to fight however many times he wants to fight in a year, then let him fight. Champion, contender, up and comer, prospect, journeyman, or newbie. It doesn't matter.

Dana just doesn't want MM to be champion, the look on his face when he has to wrap the belt around MM is pathetic.

Or maybe he's trying to get him and his division some recognition by putting a FLW title fight on free TV at the finale of what is supposed to be a relatively high rated season ... but no, you're probably right ... it's all a conspiracy to get MM to lose the belt ... makes much more sense ... NOT!

Dude, if you want to get MM to lose his belt, you don't match him up with Moraga, who's a great fighter but I don't think he's quite ready for MM.
