I cant believe tim is going to make 185!!! Assuming he doesnt lose too much of his insane strength he should bully grove enroute to a first round stoppage.

I cant believe so many people are picking grove.  Tim has been finished by hammil and phil davis and lost decisions to brilz and vladdy all of whom id put in the top 20 if not top 15 lhws in the world.  Grove is a hit or miss fighter at best. Man i hope im not delusional here!!

This is a very odd yet interesting fight, with Tim cutting and grove adding weight.

lol Grove. Tim is going to win. I was never fond of Grove. He just seems so inconsistent.

This might possibly be the fight for a job. The loser could find himself in another org after this fight is over.

For some reason I've just liked Grove since TUF 3...hes not the best out there, but I think his length at 185 will be the difference and he'll catch a triangle in the 2nd

Grove's problem is that he lacks relative power and explosiveness, he is a likeable chappie.

Grove has a bad chin and loses to anyone who can overpower him. Boetsch fits that description as well as anyone.

mino and pierce I see your point, but the one thing that can be said about Grove is that when he's on, he's on. He's shown great brilliance in his fighting when he's faced guys like Ed Herman, Alan Belcher, and Evan Tanner. Even in his losses to Mark Munoz and Demian Maia, Kendall was looking damn good. The last time his job was on the line was when he fought Evan Tanner, and he looked really good in that fight against a world class veteran. Tim Boestch in his last fight was submitted by Phil Davis. I believe that Kendall Grove's BJJ is far better than Phil Davis'. Kendall Grove has a had a problem in the past with bigger stronger fighters, and he does have a very suspect chin, but if he uses his reach advantage and his length on the ground, I think he can pull of some great submissions off of his back. Heart is another factor. Plus Kendall Grove has a ton of heart. Tim Boetsch is going to have to finish Kendall Grove or completely dominate him from beginning to end on this fight, if he wants to win.

@jaykool, I disagree. I assume you saw the Davis fight right? It wasn't so much of a lack of JJ that lead to Boetsch getting submitted as it was him getting completely overpowered and caught in a bad spot. Davis is a beast, especially on top.
I don't see Grove ever getting on top against Boetsch and I think Boetsch is competent enough to avoid getting in trouble when he's on top. Grove is very susceptible to ground and pound. I am convinced Boetsch will deliver big, heavy hits onto Groves chin, and put him away in the second or third.

I havent made my pick yet but this fight is easier than people are making out out to be. Boetsch is going to destroy Grove, its just a matter of what round it happens in.

Grove, glass chin. Enough said. He's a cool dude though.

Grove has looked great against Munoz who is a powerful wrestler. Ive always considered Boetsch a mid-tier wrestler and although there's a good chance he manages to grind out the UD I feel that Grove will rebound from his loss against Maia. Grove triangle choke rd2

I really think Grove is gonna win but this fight is hard to call.  Grove is one of those guys that is a great fighter but has some bad losses

i think that grove is going to win but i might switch my decision because i am still wondering how tim is going to deal with the weight cut, if he looks good and ready then i think that he will win, but if he didn't do to well with the weight cut then i could see grove using his reach advantage and be able to get this to the ground and submit him.
