Why do people have such a Hate on for Jon Jones

 

Ok so I'm new to the forum world, but I see an overwhelming outflow of Hate for current UFC LH Champion Jon Jones... 

 

Why does everyone seem to HATE Jone Jones?

okay, just forget what i wrote. I like racism when its done in a joking manner. I like a great jewish joke.

Don't even get me started on hate crimes. All crimes are hate crimes, you don't kill someone 'cause you like them.

@krazyhopz yeah im from Brazil, maybe my view is a bit obscure on how is racism in the US right now.

Anik, there are lots of people that have killed people they liked. Many a mob hit was done on friends. Sometimes business outweighs the personal aspects of life buddy.

The large majority of murders are because of hate. What you think of the person shouldn't affect the judgement. Nothing called a love crime eh?

I just don't like the way he says arrogant stuff and then tries to assure people that he's a nice guy....

Also he's the LHW champ and basically the baddest ************ on the planet so it annoys me when he starts **** with "I believe it is my destiny to" 

It just always sounds to me like he's trying to cushion what he says by implying that it's out of his hands

Other than that i'm always excited to see him fight and if you aren't then you sir are a moron!

Crime of passion is a crime in the heat of the moment, not because you fell in love with her and decided to pop a cap up her holy matrimony.

@anik the term "hate crime" has a more specific meaning. it's not meant literally about just any old hate for the person.  

e.g. if you commit a crime BECAUSE someone is defined by being gay/asian/handicapped/etc. this is how the term is meant.

Race is certainly a factor (like with everything else) but I think it's more because he's a young insanely talented individual who is uber-confident (people confuse this with arrogance)  and deserves to be so. Most of it probably has to do running through awesome fighters with huge fanbases like they were nothing.

Law 101 - hate crime is  any of various crimes (as assault or defacement of property) when motivated by hostility to the victim as a member of a group (as one based on color, creed, gender, or sexual orientation)

My argument is that the crime being racist shouldn't have any affect on the judgement. Murder because of racism and murder because you didn't leave the red ones last is still murder, and there's still hate behind the motive.

If you want to make a more equal society, you should have everyone trialed equally for the same crimes. Morgan Freeman once said (paraphrasing) that the only way you could stop racism is by not talking about it. I agree with him. The hate crime idea should go.

Is racism why Anderson Silva is the 3rd largest draw in the UFC after GSP and Brock?

If Jon Fitch was knocking out people left and right for 6 years straight, he'd be the top draw in the UFC. Same applies for GSP, or Frankie Edgar, or even Dan Hardy.

Oh and Anik I'm not sure I agree with the whole to get rid of racism you need to not talk about it. There's a reason why the Civil Rights Movement happened in the 1960's. It's because no one would talk about it and the mistreatment of blacks was common place. Not talking about an issue will not make it go away, racist people will still pass it to their children. Coming from Texas I have been to the extremely racist parts of the state and the treatment of black and hispanics is horrible. Racists are going to mistreat people of a different color whether you like it or not.

Or you know they could just drag someone behind their car just because their drunk and he's black. The guy was basically torn piece by piece on the asphalt and the guys that did it to him shouldn't even be considered human beings. Oh and yeah he was decapitated at a culvert.

Gregory, The following is not too pick a fight or anything, strictly my opinion.  

I AM SICK OF EVERY BLACK FIGHTER TURNING **** INTO A RACE WAR THAT IS NOT HAPPENING.  It is a race issue because some people in society buy into this whoa is me ******** and still think we live in 1961.

Not a single one of these "slaves" knows what it is like to be discriminated against to the point of slavery.

This whole Free King Mo ******** going on right now is ridiculous.  The guy is free, ZUFFA cut his ass, so go do what you want MO.  You are free as a bird Mo, go do your thing and shut the **** up.

Rampage and his, "Slave to the ******* white man routine is getting old as well."  If you don't like fighting for a minimum of a quarter million dollars a fight, then shut the **** up and go fight in an alley.

I dont recall any slaves making millions of dollars a year fighting or the relative equivalent at the time. they were beat, mistreated and killed and the women were ****d, beat, mistreated and killed.  This is not a race thing people for crying out loud.  quit allowing a couple disgruntled fighters to say that **** and turn it into one. 

When Tito had beef with UFC, everyone said he was a ********* and who was he to ask for more money.  UHmm, he is the ***********er that carried the organization through the dark ages.  But wait, he appears to be white, so he shouldn't complain, just take what you get and be glad about it.

This is really turning into a huge PET PEEVE of mine right now.  Go fight for Don King and see how he treats his fighters, if you want to find out about slavery of fighters or go fight for that other idiot Bob Arum and see how things go.

I think we gather all the Irish fighters and start claiming how they are treated as Serfs and it is unfair to them and they need more money and better treatment.

You want to get paid like a boxer, go box. ZUFFA will never have a 20 million dollar a fight guy, EVER!!!!

Absolutely!!  Jones vs Bonnar was amazing and since then he`s just gotten so much better.  Now his cardio is much improved and he has learned to use his reach to his advantage with greater efficiency every fight.  Still throws awesome combos and strikes and just seems to be too big for anyone else in UFC Light Heavyweight.

Eventually will have to move to Heavyweight but he`s still so young... 

Only thing that looks to stop him is getting caught with that one good punch that opponents like Henderson and Evans can throw, but the same was said for Rua, Jackson, and Machida...
