As for Jones, In the cage I have the utmost respect for what he does.  But outside the cage I think he could use a little Humility.  He always talks about being a mixed martial artist well that doesn't only carry weight in the cage, it also is a mind frame outside of it and he is the complete opposite of that.  Many of you are calling him out for dropping Machida, but it is not his responsibility to lay down his opponent after choking him unconscious.  Would it be nice yeah it would be, but it is not in the job duties list.

I would just like him to be a little more humble and control his ego.  Jones is a lot like Kobe, hard to like but easy to respect.

I don't know Kobe at all but he came across awesome in that new Bruce Lee documentary. Catching opponents after choking them out? Does that mean he has to catch fighters when he knocks them out?
It's like peopole are just coming up with reasons to hate him which you could do with most fighters. Saying that however, he was in that Bruce Lee documentary as well, and he didn't come off well at all. Beating the weakness out of people is what he said on the doc, he's the next bully on bully beatdown.

Among the forums on the internet, it's the fans are the source of hate, not the fighter himself. Look at Brock Lesnar. Yes, he did get looked down upon cause of his background and being spoonfed an easy road to the title, but it was the masses of fans that claimed him such a talented fighter, even better than longtime top fighter Fedor, that turned other fans away.

Though I do admit, Jones does have this fake/****y thing going for him a bit that all the 'haters' claim. To me, it just seems like he is trying to create a persona to be play in front of the cameras as a way to adjust and control the fame.

And quite honestly, it's the way he goes about being ****y, in a passive, quiet way. Instead of saying 'Oh yeah punk!? I'ma kick your ***", it's something along the lines of he's leaving the Octagon the champ, blah blah blah, with God on his side

"I'll kill you! I'll kill you to death!"

I just don't like Jon Jones attitude. I wish the best LHW to come along didn't have to be a primetime ********** like JJ. Like to watch his fights, appreciate his skill (mostly his greco roman throws), but I just wanna see him lose. It's his ******** fake humbleness mostly. I just don't like him.

I first heard of Jon Jones shortly after I really started becoming interested in MMA and the UFC (2008-2009) when I had read a magazine interview that Jon Jones had given (Fight Magazine I think) and he was saying the same things then that he says now... regarding his faith, etc...  At that time he was coming off of his victory over Stephen Bonnar at UFC 94.

A lot of fighters say it is their destiny or something similar to be the champion (why they were born, etc.) - so is it just that he is now the champion that saying these things bother people?

What do you think of the tattoo that Justin Lawrence has on this season of the Ultimate Fighter?  Same tattoo as Jones but a different chapter and verse of the Bible are quoted...

I have the utmost respect for Jone's in the cage. He's well rounded and exciting to watch. However, outside the cage he just seems arrogant and fake.
