Predictions: 5 of 11 Winners, 0 Perfect, 265 Points   |   Tied for 1185th

The fighters are weighed in and although a few missed the mark, all the match-ups are still a go for Saturday night.

Fight Pass prelims kick off at 7pm ET, followed by four prelims on FS1 at 8pm and the PPV main card at 10pm.

This wasn't the most stacked PPV effort on paper, but a two-week drought from the UFC has given it a bit of late heat.

Enjoy!

All I wanna know is why is it that Conor McGregor is being promoted as heavily as the actual fights on Embedded? He took up the first 2 minutes of episode 4. Makes no sense.

Because he's next in line, because embedded have started morphing into "the complete fight week story" as opposed to "behind the main event" now that they've seen how well they were received by the fans, because he's awseome on a stick and both the main eventers are pretty bland TV... even if they catch pigeons on the beach.

My guess is, they filmed a ****load of stuff and couldn't find anything really interesting to show about Aldo and Mendes in comparison to the gold Conor was feeding them.

Enough with the "fair/unfair" ****. You want the embedded to be all about you? Be interesting enough. The embedded is for the fans and after the fans have seen Aldo kick mitts for 25 seconds and Mendes ****** up for another, you still have 3.5-6 minutes to fill. Seriously, Mendes' segments only got interesting when Phil Davis stopped by and Aldo's when Teixeira started his little comedy routine.

I love Aldo as a fight and respect Chad as top notch, it's great having insight to how they prepare on fight week and what's going through their minds, but I think that they can each fill a quarter of an embedded episode with that.

Everyone keeps going on and on about how McGregor taking up so much of the spotlight makes no sense.

From a sporting/meritocracy standpoint, you have an argument. From a promotional standpoint, you don't understand how businesses work.

McGregor is the biggest thing to happen to the UFC's FW division since its inception. He's also the biggest or one of the biggest things to happen in 2014.

Promoting him heavily now, along with his brilliant self-promotion, creates heat that only intensifies as he continues to work his way up the FW ladder until an eventual meeting with the champ, which will be the best-selling fight in FW history, bar none.

Eventually he will have to back up the hype, it's not a free ride.  That's the great thing about the UFC, you can talk the talk, but you have to walk the walk.

The ironic part of it all is that, even the people who are constantly questioning him are actually adding to his mystique and drawing power.

Aldo's got this. The stiff jab, the leg kicks, the takedown defense, the speed advantage. Everything. I don't believe the improvements in Mendes' game are as extreme as people make it out to be. In his current streak he is fighting guys that Aldo would also obliterate. I honestly don't look at this as if it's a closer fight. If anything, I'm more confident in Aldo this time around.

Mendes has a wrestling base. In the first fight that was clearly what he was reliant on. But the thing is, if that knee didn't happen, if the fight lasted one more second, I could have seen Mendes begin to take over with his wrestling down the stretch. But now? He's starched a few guys he was supposed to starch on the feet, so now I expect him to be too confident in his hands. If this becomes primarily a kickboxing match, Aldo wins with little-to-know trouble.

Edgar is better than Mendes on the feet, and having rewatched the fight recently, it really wasn't very close. Aldo beat him up throughout. Edgar had a few moments, but they were few and far between. A lot of people like to **** on Aldo's cardio, but he arguably beat Frankie Edgar in round 5. Frankie Edgar. One of the most well conditioned fighters in the sport. At least Aldo has some decent 5 round experience. Having seen Mendes go 15 minutes multiple times, I'm not lead to believe that he will be fully conditioned in round 5 either.

Not a star-powered undercard, but pretty competitively matched, it seems.  Should be a good fight.

After a few years im back! one or two of you might remember me maybe lol.  Tough match here, with a aggressive, forward only clinch heavy gameplan mendes could make this very interesting. I just suspect he won't. Tex and davis will be fun, if Mr wonderful doesn't fight angry i'll never cheer for him again, i want to see him throw strikes with confidence, he's had long enough damnit.

"Grrr."
