Guess the judges were not buying the gameplan built by "the carpenter." Maynard made a fan out of me tonight.

Condit running academy, his straight A student: Guida

@geez one thing is to be elusive as Machida or even Guida in the first round, another thing is to run and don't engage, I think Guida fought a very good 1st round he was elusive and was throwing punches, he hurt Maynard, but that was it, the rest of the fight he ran and didn't engaged, that's not fighting and that's why Dan put a stop to it, too late I might add.

I forsee the future for Guida, it looks very much like Fitch's because Dana probably didn't liked Guida's game plan one bit

9 out 10 of Maynards punches missed by a mile the only time he landed anything truely clean was in the clinch. What about octagon control and damage done. Maynard pulls Guida's hair like four times and they don't say **** Clay works his game plan and get warned for it.

Guida is one of the hardest workers at 155 and needs to get a damn title shot..... oh yeah call the cops a Bully just stole it.
Drink the Kool aid @joe kerr Dana just sees $ in a Edgar Maynard rematch.

Just to throw this out there:
Dana White ‏@danawhite

Maynard won that easy!!!! Wasn't that close. HORRIBLE fight!

27mDana White ‏@danawhite

Oops it was a warning! Wish he did that in the 2nd round

28mDana White ‏@danawhite

Ref took a point from Guida for running! This is like the twilight zone!!!! Never thought I would see that

34mDana White ‏@danawhite

Crowd went from Guida fans to Maynard fans!!!

39mDana White ‏@danawhite

First time I have ever seen Guida get boo'd out of the building. I am booing too!!

Alright just got back to see a raging Tapology.Hey at least I'm not on Sherdog. That fight was pretty lame but I honestly think Guida should have won that fight.Just like the Diaz vs Condit fight I the fighters frustration changed your opinion.Without the FU and the finger by Maynard it would be "wow that fight sucked but I guess Gray won".Since that did happen its "OMG GUIDA IS A TERRIBLE FIGHTER ALL HE DOES IS RUN THAT WAS THE WORST FIGHT I'VE EVER SEEN".I also think its B.S. how Maynard wouldn't shake Guida's hand. Also isn't it weird that they made Guida braid his hair and then Gray grabs it in the Thai clinch.Props to Gray for winning anyways.

I had it 48-47 Guida but have no problem with the decision. Guida went from decently tactical stuff to running in the last 2 rounds.

@skelliher I agree.I just hate how ridiculous MMA fans get sometimes.Yes it was boring.Yes Guida ran for 2 rounds. No reason to freakout and act insane and thumb down anyone with a separate opinion.

@MadMike: Agreed. The thumbs are clearly more a sign of emotion than logic right now, but that's the way it goes.

At the start I was somewhat nervous for this fight and saying Come on Guida and ****.. come the 3rd round I found myself shouting for Maynard!

Really happy that Sammy Stout got the win, legend.

Ebersole vs Waldburger was some sick ground work.. Great fight!

Very dissapointed Pearson lost, got caught he'll be back at featherweight.. Swanson was sick.
