Ah, you cant count Dan Henderson out. Although he faded.. I've never seen anyone put a beating on Shogun like that (beside Jon Jones). I've never seen anyone knock Fedor out cold, either. He did that all in one year. Everyone knows he has a lethal righthand, but no one seems to be able to stop it. You never know.

Hendo is a great fighter. There is no doubt about that, and if there is anyone that I could see beating Jones, Evans, or Silva, it would be Hendo. I just wonder how many more fights he's really go left in him. Who knows, he could be another ageless wonder like Randy Couture.

I just think at Hendersons age he shouldnt be turning down fights. Sure he has his shot, he doesnt want to lose it. Understandable, but he is old now, by the time he even GETS a shot he will be rusty as ****! Which wont help him at all.

Hendo is too slow for either Bones or Rashad. He has more of a chance leaving the cage without a severe beating if he fights Rashad. That would be a decision loss. If he gets Bones, he will get TKO'd for the first time in his career. Brutal pride style/Pat Curran vs Joe Warren type of finish.

Hendo isn't as deadly in the greco-roman clinch as he once was- and even so, he most likely would not be able to use it effectively against Jones, who may have the best clinchwork at UFC's 205 division. His takedown defense is... suspect- he was taken down at will by Jake Shields, who horrible at takedowns for such a talented grappler at, maybe the worst at 185 since Maia left. And Jones is very good at taking people down.

I like his chances of landing a random H-Bomb and KTFOing Rashad, but not against Silva or Jones, who will just take it to the ground and submit him (or in Jones case, elbows.)

I do hope he wins, he's one of my favorites.

I think i would rather see hendo vs rashad than jones, altho if jones is getting knocked out id rather it be hendo.

If hendo can win the belt i hope he retires.  I just want to see him go out on the highest possible note.

I dont think Hendo will fight at Middleweight
i think he will fight at LHW for the title and lose
After everyone see's the great fight that will be 145 card main event, everyone is gonna go ape crap to see Hendo fight for the title and thats whats going to happen, he wont have a chance to even think about Middleweight.
I see Hendo fighting Jones, although ill hope for Hendo/Rashad

Would love to see Henderson vs Jones - but think that it would end the same for Henderson as his fight with Anderson Silva.
Of course there's always a chance for Hendo to catch Jones with that right hand...

@current At least Maia uses jiu-jitsu takedowns that sometimes work. Shields goes for wrestling shots and gets stuffed every time, no matter what.

And that guy took down Hendo at will. Please, Hendo's got no chance against Bones, he's got no chance against Evans, he's got no chance against Anderson and he's got no chance against Chael Sonnen.

In fact, I'd pick GSP to beat Hendo. Without second guessing it. Hendo's cardio is crap (as seen in the Shogun fight that should've been scored A DRAW), his striking is mediocre (except for that grenade he possesses, which could be gameplanned around I'm sure) and his wrestling skills have faded with time.

well, AnikM did say " except for that grenade he possesses". his striking is really not that great if you take out the H-Bomb.

im sad to say but i think he wants one last payday before retiring or doing smaller fights.
i think he has a better chance againts rashad, if rashad wins the title. but i dont see him winning against any of the three.
i think both Jones and Silva would not engage in the first round and then would gradually pick him apart as he tires.
plus, both have those leg kicks.

@ C_Arnold... Thats part of him though, You can't say that "if you took the h-bomb out"...so thats irrelevant, In fact he's so good with it, All fighters knows it's coming and they can't stop it.  Part of being a good striker is knowing how to throw a punch and using power you possess also being accurate with it... Which is why Hendo is so good at knocking people out.

@MMApicker42 Dude. His striking is mediocre. Look at it this way, if Hendo didn't have that bomb on his right hand, he would be looked at as a mediocre striker. Without power, Shogun is still a technical master of striking.

HE IS A MEDIOCRE STRIKER. ALL HE DOES IS THROW A JAB AND THEN LAUNCH HIS MISSILE. I'm a technical guy, I love technical prowess in fighting and I always appreciate it but Henderson does not have technical prowess in his striking. It's evident.

It doesn't appear that anyone has a realistic chance of dethroning Jon Jones at this time.  Evans has the best chance and its not that good.

Dan Henderson has no chance.  Dan lost to Jake Shields largely due to a particularly brutal weight cut.

Jones will first defeat Rashad and then Dan Henderson.  Evans vs. Henderson would be a good, competitive fight, but one which Rashad has the better chance to win.  But he'll have to be careful not to get caught.  Dan turned 41 years old last August.  I seriously doubt if he will go on like Randy Couture.  I don't know if he wants to.

Dan lost to Anderson Silva and Silva is afraid to fight Jon Jones.

Dan Henderson has a better chance against Jon Jones and Rashad than he does against Silva. Rashad can be knocked out (clearly) and Jones could very well go down against an H-Bomb. Anderson has already proved that Dan doesn't stand a chance against him. I think Dan loses against any of the possible champions he'll be facing. He's slow, and his cardio is awful. Anderson would beat him just like before, and the other three possibilities would all take him down easy and beat him there. Also, I recently heard that Henderson uses TRT, so I definitely want him to lose regardless of the opponent.
