Great interview...I was not looking forward to 125 at all, but as my unheathly addicition dictates I bought the card regardless and was on the edge of my seat during the entire main event that I thought was going to be a boring fight...This fight made me stop judging fights on paper if they'll be boring or not, because we never know whats actually gonna happen once the cage door shuts! I'm now really excited for the 3rd fight between Gray and Edgar!

Yeah the entire 125 card was awesome and turned out to better than we all expected - which is typically the way most fight cards seem to work, the lesser profile fights and boring stylistic match ups end up being a bombshell of a PPV. I'm jacked for the 3rd fight, i think these two are both going to bring it and try to prove they are #1 for real.

I hate to be the guy who's obsesses over words, but i take not of small things. Note how when Frankie talks about 145 he states multiple times that "i will" be giving this up and "i will" be gaining this. I hate foreshadow anything, but at the same time he's talking like he knows he'll be there someday rather than saying words like "i would". I think if Frankie loses this fight to Gray, which i don't think he will, he moves to 145 sooner rather than later.....

but then again the 3rd fight could be the yawnfest we were all expecting first..... Its better to not expect too much for a fight or too little.... :-]

If you think about it, Frankie has been one of the most consistently exciting fighters in MMA since entering the UFC. The first BJ fight was a little slow, and the fight against Sherk was a little slow as well. Every other one was fun to watch from my recollection, including both Maynard fights, so there's every reason to think this will be another entertaining affair.

I remember Edgar's first fight in the UFC against Tyson Griffin. At the time of the fight, I thought it was the best fight I had ever seen. He almost always brings it.

I was never a huge Edgar fight befor 125. After watching Maynard lay a savage beating on him in the first, then seeing Frankie come back and display his warrior spirit and heart of a champion I was sooo impressed. I still don't think he needs to move to 145, he is soo great at 125, even if maynard puts him away in their 3rd fight, both are great top lws and after seeing their first 2 fights I wouldnt mind watching them fight 3 more times as I could see them going either way each time.

UFC 67, that fight was amazing - i remember i bought the DVD and watched it in Kuwait, i was astonished at those two guys at the time. I thought the fight with Sherk was actually pretty damn good. I can't wait for this fight!

It's awesome to see Frankie focusing on a lot of the good that he did in his fights with Maynard rather than just dwelling on what he did wrong and what not to do in their next fight.  He got caught in the first round and it messed him up pretty bad for that round, but he really came back strong when I thought he was close to being finished.  Frankie's an amazing fighter and seems to have a very smart camp.  He's got what it takes to beat Maynard and I fully believe he's going to do it in this next fight.
I like that Frankie's got the option of dropping to featherweight, but he's been incredible at lightweight and I'm enjoying watching him cement his own legacy in a division that people claimed he was too small for.  A little Fedor-esque.

Another great interview.

I am alot more torn during this one then their last fight. Last time I expected Maynard to dominate Edgar and after the first round I was even more sure. After Edgars incredabile display of heart in the last 4 rounds, I really don't know how their next meetings is going to turn out.

Garcia is trash. He got beat by Nam, and the judges ****** up bigtime. I'd much rather see Edgar vs Nam because all Garcia does is throw bombs and miss. He would gas in the first round and Edgar would knock him out.

Garcia has his place in the UFC...most casual fans want to see guys throwing leather and with Garcia there are going to be some great exchanges...Edgar is too talented for him and would have his way anywhere he wanted to take the fight.

I would not go that far, just saying Edgar would get destroyed by top competition because he only has one thing he does. Moves forwards and throws hooks.

Rampage used to do this in pride but he had insane power. Garcia does not.
