Somehow, this just doesn't seem fair...

After watching the countdown and Rampage's little video blog on Spike TV last night, it seems to me that Hamill is coming into this fight rather arrogantly. IMO, he's the one that's underestimating Rampage as a fighter. He made the same mistake against Rich Franklin and Jon Jones, and he got his ass handed to him in both of those fights. Hamill believes that he has evolved so much as a well-rounded fighter, and that Ramapge is one-dimensional. Hamill actually thinks that he has better BJJ than Rampage, and that he could submit Rampage? Are you kidding me? Did he even watch Rampage's fight with Sakuraba? Rampage's submission defense and takedown defense are one of the best in MMA. I've seen in several fights, even when you get Rampage to the ground, you're not keeping him there, and all Rampage needs is one punch. With all the crap that Hamill has said, he's doing nothing more than just pissing Rampage off. I don't believe that Hamill has the chin of Dan Henderson, Rashad Evans, or even Forrest Griffin. If Rampage catches Hamill he will finish him.

And its not just his chin ... I think Hamill has terrible Striking defense and if hes standing with Rampage that can only mean one thing.

Agreed. He's not going to stand there and absorb too many shots before he goes night-night.

This fight will be closer then most expect. Hamill has some KO ability with his strikes. He's a very sound wrestler as well. Rampage will be too expierienced and egde out a split decision.

I think hammill will get a few takedowns in the first but will get KOed in the 2nd round, I really dont see Hammil not getting Koed before the fights over

Hamill has KO ability against B & C-level fighters, but when he's faced anybody considered to be an elite or top 10 fighter, he has failed. Rampage is the #3 LHW in the world right now, if Hamill couldn't beat Franklin, what makes him think that he can beat Rampage? Hamill is slower than Chuck Liddell, and Rashad obiviously is quicker than Chuck, and Rampage managed to catch Rashad. If Hamill keeps his hands low like Chuck, even for a second against Rampage, he's going to sleep. Bisping said it himself. The only chance Hamill has of winning this fight is getting to the ground as quickly as possible, and that might not even work out to his benefit.

@wolf, never meant rampage to kick him just to look at rich tkoing him with a body kick and for rampage to use body shots because he has a vicious left hook. I think rampage could win this with a well placed liver shot.  I dont think hamill will have the durability to absorb that much abuse to the body, his head is hard as a rock but his body has shown weakness.

Well, everyone knows the danger of picking rampage; the "motivated penn syndrome" ;). On the other hand, Hamill's wrestling either doesnt translate into MMA or he has simply always underused it. Either way, Rampage's TDD is top notch and striking wise it should be clear who has the edge. Im hoping for Rampage to catch Hamill sometime in the 2nd/3rd.

@Platzhirsch...Hamill's wrestling translated to MMA pretty good in the Tito fight! I see Rampage getting the stoppage win here and setting up a date with Jon Jones in the fall for the title
