Instead of spamming the boards everytime I see some cool news, I’ll post it here. I’ll also keep track of prospects I like, new signings to ufc/dwcs/Bellator/etc.

Surprise surprise guys, we have YET ANOTHER wmma prospect signing. This time however, it’s the very very solid prospect, Emily ducote. She’s fighting Jessica penne; Fortino is out (pullout god btw). Ducote is 11-6 with 7 finishes 3 ko 4 sub. She has an ugly record but that stems from the high level of competition she’s fought. Ducote is only 28 but she spent the majority of her early career in bellator. Since thag release, she has been fighting in invicta where she is the reigning, defending 115 champ. You may recognize the name from the absolute highlight reel ko over Danielle Taylor she got last year. She followed this up with a tko against the best American atomweight (top 5 atomweight in the world imo), Ashley zappitella. Very excited about this signing; ducote is very good

The mansour barnaoui signing just became official. Along with that, Bellator signed 5 other fighters (who all competed on their most recent card there) to long term deals with the roster

Wasn't Davy Gallon already signed? He's fought in Bellator several times. Also holy **** they signed Afro Samurai after we were talked about them. Bellator watches this chat confirmed

Oh **** they signed Super Melly! A bit late and out of nowhere considering she hasn't fought since 2019 but I'm not complaining. Glad to see her in the UFC, but it is really strange that they are straight signinjg all these women and not making them go through the contender series (when IMO some of them don't even deserve that, much LESS to be directly signed)
Melly is definitely one of the ones who deserved to be signed IMO. Though I would've put her on the Contender's Series against Jaeregui or something (I mean making 2 good prospects fight each other is what the Contender Series is all about right? Though tbh maybe it's a good thing that didn't happen. I may be a bit bias, but as much as I wanted to see them fight I want both of them to be in the UFC and do well lol)
Also the idea of Bellator and UFC trading fighters is hilarious to me.

@drchaotic actually the whole reason I wrote a peice on mansour is because it was reported he got signed to Bellator lol. It just became official today tho as he signed the papers
And yes, Davy was signed but I believe they upped his deal and contract
I agree on melly. Absolutely love the signing but she hasn’t fought since 2019 so it seems weird they’re putting her straight into the ufc. However, she’s fighting Hannah cifers aka “the human punching bag” so should be an easy ko for her. Her and Emily ducote are such great signings by the ufc; they’re gonna make 115 more fun to watch for sure

I don’t understand the shopping spree of female prospects either. Not gonna complain but it seems really sporadic and kinda came out of nowhere. They haven’t announced anymore women for dwcs (at the moment) so yeah, maybe they gave up on signing them through contender series?

I like the 5 French fighters Bellator signed. Gallon’s last two fights have been nice. Camara and Ouabbas had impressive first round knockouts last time out.
