Fighters like Juma is just what is wrong in this sport, instead of being called ''King John'' Muhamed Juma his nickname should be Fish Hook Juma, at least Silveira got the choke and Juma tapped in the most embarrassing way possible. I liked that there was a selection process (as there was in DWCS before last season) and that there is only one guaranteed contract that will make fighters look for the best performance starting next week. I was surprised that Silveira was not selected since he was the one with the most reflector and the one with the highest marketing value (along with having achieved the Submission) but Souto deserved it since he had a better performance that night (he even earned a bonus of $5k for the performance of the night).

I like Taylor Johnson but along with Williams he had to be eliminated in the first filter of the selection process. The last 2 finalists should have been Souto and Silveira, the rest if it was logical and it would have even had a greater impact to choose an ''unknown'' from Brazil over the double LFA champion.

It's 1 fighter per weight class btw not 1 fighter in all
South and Silveria are both LHW's.

Oh OK nevermind I get the breakdown have 1 challenger series for 1 weight group at a time and sign 1 from there. 

Makes sense but Silveria and Souto would of been nice to sign both for the season.

I get you don't wanna be like DWTCS but Silveira and Johnson could easily fight in PFL. I get doing this in divisions like WW, LW and FW where you only sign one guy but LHW for example needs all the guys they can get.

I know this will require a good schedule and not a PFL schedule but if they really want to be something else form DWCS why not doing a 1-night tournament?

In asia they do them with 16 fighters, you can do it with 8.
And if you win by being too hurt and need to give up the place in further rounds then most likely you weren't the guy


Add a reserve fight , 1 hour and do 8 fights in 4 hours that isn't out of the world for a normal promotion ((3x5+2)x8=136minutes=2:15 hrs so you have 1:45 to do intros, post fight stuff and whatever)

I like the concept of the show, but they really have to tighten up production and pace.

2.5 hours for 4 fights....too slow!!!

Pfl has the worst pacing of any mma org. I remember I stopped watching one event after 90 minutes w out fights and then cezar Ferreira pulled a hammy lol
