Hmmmmm, not sure about this 1?? Kinda strange that Jorge Linares signs a promotional deal with RCC? Then they match him up with 1 of their best guys. I think they have signed Linares for the sole purpose of getting their guy a win over a legend. Might backfire tho because Linares is still a tremendous boxer, remember in his last fight vs Devon Haney he rocked Haney to his core and Haney held on for dear life the last couple of rounds! He was actually running and hugging Linares to survive. Compare that to Abdullaev fight vs Haney. Devon made Abdullaev quit on his stool after 4 rounds because of a severely broken nose! If you compare them it looks great for Linares. But Jorge is older and he has a habit of getting KO'd himself in fight he is a massive favourite.! Hmmmmm, tough fight to call! I think I'm taking the Russian in Russia on his Russian promotion show!!! But I may change my mind!

19-1 unknown Venezuelan Angel Rodriguez picks up the split decision over Russian favourite Mark "Canelo" Urvanov!!
Really surprised to be honest!!! Not so much about the result, I never rated Ruski Canelo much. More so surprised that a Venezuelan gets a split decision over the Russian favourite in his home town on his promoters show!!!!!
Good sign for Linares tho, he can hopefully rely on the judges if his fight goes the distance.

I was going to take the Russian, not because of skill, more so because its in Russia!!
But when I compared the performance against common opponent Devon Haney, Linares put up a far superior performance almost KOing Haney late, while Abdullaev retired after 4 Rounds!
Plus I've always liked Linares. He's a supreme skilled boxer, has an exciting attack minded style and puts on great fights. Sometimes to his detriment getting KO'd more than once!
I think it will be a close fight, but ig

I think he was not good the last round, 6h round.
I picked a (T)KO-win for him in the 9th round. But I have serious doubts now whether this will happen.
7th round is better for Linares now, but still not appearing the dominance that my picks seems likely to be correct.

Lets see whether Abdullaev might not win prematurely. Linares didn't and doesn't look good in this bout. Normally Linares, well-trained and in good form (maybe also in his younger years), should dominate against Abduallaev. He is also breathing heavily.
