Jon Jones has been accused of having an ego in the past.......This video doesn't do much to change those views.  Listen to what Greg Jackson tells Jones to do after his victory over Machida last night.

@Wolf I almost considered putting Jones at #2 p4p he stays at #3 for now but will probably fight again before GSP does so he has a chance to be #2 with one more win

he will have 2 fights before gsp. 9-10 months for gsp to heal and then another 4 months to train to "try" to beat nick diaz.

I really don't care about all this high school girl catty drama. I don't care about how a fighter really is outside the ring. Jones is an amazingly dominate LHW and puts on a great show in the ring. Maybe he's young and ****y but he can back everything he says up.  The guys isn't out there beating women and committing crimes, he had to be reminded to check on Machida, so what. Jackson said get some fans but who cares. Almost all fighters have a level of falseness, some play the heal some play the face. Right after the fight the adrenalin is pumping they have to do their rooster strut, and once they calm down they check on their opponent. I personally hope Jones turns into the Anderson Silva of the LHW division and defends his title 8+ times. Really Jones is about 2 or 3 wins from making his division which is one of perceived strongest in MMA start to look weak.

As for Jones moving to the #2 P4P if he beats the winner of Rashad/Davis and Dan Henderson before GSP fights again I could see moving Jones to #2. I really like GSP but if you are out that long it really hurts especially in the P4P category. Nobody is touching GSP at WW he's been to dominate for too long and he is guaranteed to return.

I Dont like the guy but Im putting Jones at 3 which is above GSP now because GSP has fought 5 times since the start of 2009. Jones has fought 9 times since then.

the records of fighters coming off long layoffs and surgeries is not good. when gsp is all healed up and 100 % healthy he will get  knockout by diaz. it will be around 17-18 months before that happens. 7 and 1/2  months have already gone by since his last fight. so another 10 or 11 months from now he can fight unless he gets injured again.

I could care less about GSP fighting, but I still wanna see Diaz crush his 'riddum'.

There is a very real risk to GSP not returning and being the same level of fighter he has been the past few years. This is a bad injury.

However, it's really a topic for a GSP thread or a P4P thread...

Kind of stupid for Jackson to say that. People will really go to any lengths to make Jones look worse. Haters gonna hate

You know what. Ive moved Jones to my #2 P4P cause he deserves it. He is so brilliantly dominate and doesnt grind out decisions; he dominates awesome fighters like Shogun, Jackson and Machida and makes em look like amateurs. He really is an excellent fighter. Unlike all the Sonnen fans for example who wont give Anderson Silva the credit he deserves I will still admit Jones is the number 1 LHW and the number 2 P4P. I will still continue to hate Jones, but Ill never discredit him as a fighter; except his calfs. They are pathetic.

Yeah Jones is ****y, but I don't think you can really blame him for that and I don't really think that's the source of a lot of the disdain people have for him. I feel like he's worried about people disliking him because of it, thus he tries to act overly humble and it just doesn't seem genuine. I didn't feel this way nearly as much during the build up to the Machida fight as I did against Rampage or Shogun, but this whole video incident really doesn't help. I'd like to think Jones would've been a good sportsman and checked up on Machida regardless of whether he was told to or not.

I guess its sort of part of Jackson's job for him to try to make Jones look good, I think it's sort of how right after the fight cornermen are throwing shirts and hats on thier fighters like their dress up dolls, because if they don't their flushing away their sponsorship money. But LOL and the way Greg phrased it and letting it get picked up so clearly by the cameras.

@Gregory LOL. Do 50 calf raises. If your calves arent the size of your thighs after 50 of those youve got JonJonesCalves.

Certainly doesn't help my opinion of Jones as a person, and definitely makes me look at Jackson as a dirty little weasel.  Most fighters as grounded and humble as Jones claims himself to be would have checked on Machida without prompt after dropping him unconscious on the mat like he did.

Im not gonna make a big dea lout of the Machida falling to the floor thing. Of course, Jones let him go. When Big John steps in, you knows its to separate you from your opponent. People are complaining about it cuz its Jones but no one gave a rats as when Morecraft did the same thing to McCorkle.

@kallous exactly.  people are looking for any excuse with jones.  but if people had the same level of scrutiny on any other fighter, they'd find just as many things to have a problem with.
