Alright folks,

As you might know I'm Tapology Boxing editor. I know the majority of you guys are here for MMA, so was I originally. But for the last year or 2 there is a little more interest in Boxing on the site.

So here's a place to talk boxing.

was a wild dirty downright vicious match that had me going

very good highlight of this classic fight

it was great, both men fighting with all they had and then it started getting dirty, I was afraid it would get stopped. Maidana even blatantly punches JESUS in the nuts. Wild dirty brawl but technical.

Buds a BAAAAD MAN!!!!

A nice little refesher as to why Bud Crawford is 1 of, if not THE best boxer of this generation!

It will be a travesty if he doesn't get the legacy defining fights over the next couple of years!
What a FIGHTER!!!

Masashiro Suzuki is a Japanese Lightweight currently scheduled to fight for the Japanese Lightweight title. The Japan's titles are quite prestigious and almost always lead to a World title fight soon after. Suzuki himself was involved in one of the best fights of 2021, an action pack back and forth with fellow Japanese boxer, Daishi Nagata. Regardless of if Suzuki wins the Japanese Lightweight belt I thought I'd share this gem of a fight

BAM Rodriguez

Incase anybody missed it, here are the highlights from the WBC World Super Flyweight Championship fight between established top 5 155ler and new up n coming, super prospect Jesse Bam Rodriguez.

Great fight, much like the Flyweights in MMA, the little guys in boxing are always entertaining!! Supremely technical, fast, accurate and just great action!!

Check it

@Cheeseball

There's the Amir Khan VS Kell Brook fight which was one of the biggest fights that could be made about 5 decades ago. Still, as long as that little **** Amir Khan gets KO'd again, I'll be happy!

This is a quiet week, but the next weekend hosts an deceptively great fight in Taylor vs Catterall. I don't need to go on about how good Taylor is but Catterall's no bum and the odds are kind of doing him dirty. Catterall's got good, fast hands, paired with varying and great punch selection and combinations. The last time Taylor fought a Southpaw he brought it to them, taking the fight to the inside and never letting up. It was an exciting and suffocating match. I suspect Taylor recreates that experience and we're in for a good time.

Probably OT, but I'd just like to say that it recently occurred to me that I don't give a solitary **** what anybody in this thread thinks about anything apart from Mikey.

As you were.

Yeah, sorry I've been a bit busy plus boxing has been pretty **** lately!!!  March and especially April look great, fingers crossed it all stays together!

There's quite a lot of boxing this weekend, just not much quality.  Showtime has a ShoBox event on Friday night featuring the usual undefeated prospects facing off, they are always close, entertaining fights.  Jiame Munguia fights on DAZN in Mexico on a card full of Mexican bangers! Not great match ups on paper tho.
There is a good looking card from Russia featuring former P4P guy Jorge Linares facing a half decent Russian Abdullaev, who only lost when he stepped up against Devin Haney, getting stopped by Haney doesn't look great considering Haney is classed as feather fisted.
The RCC shows have great prospects and there is 2 or 3 proper match ups in the co main and featured bouts, The Russian Canelo is 1 to watch!! Also Zoravior Petrosyan vs Kozlovsky is a great fight between 2 guys looking to move up a level

The biggest fight of course is from the UK.  Amir Khan vs Kell Brook, argueably Britains best boxers from the past decade.  They are definetly in the top 10, both World Champs, World rated, fought some of the best and they HATE each other!!!!  Always the key ingredient in a good old British Domestic Dust Up!!
Yeah its 5 years too late but as it's a week away I'm actually looking forward to it.  Both guys are kinda washed but that makes it competitive..  Will Khans glass jaw show up again??? Will Kells Eye fall out???  Does Khan still have the speed?  Will Kell make the weight???  Lots of questions, find out the answers soon!!!

1 thing I think for sure, someone will get KO'd!!!!

OK then, I shall!

Ahem... In a 4 round fight, Jamie Quinn would go the distance with any Lightweight on the planet.

Haha, well I know you like Jamie "Devil Child" Quinn.  I to respect him and all journeyman like him, British journeymen in particular are a tough bunch!!!

But I could name 100 Lightweights that would absolutely mash Quinns insides up with a brutal body attack (that's how you stop a journeyman)

But, any young novice, yeah they aren't finishing Sir Quinn!
So there are definitely more guys that wouldn't finish him than those that could

If you see a video circulating of a man drinking Kell Brook's sweat, don't watch it!
