Alright folks, 

As you might know I'm Tapology Boxing editor. I know the majority of you guys are here for MMA, so was I originally. But for the last year or 2 there is a little more interest in Boxing on the site. 

So here's a place to talk boxing. 

Donaire by finish was a sports book steal, +150 by KO. Crazy because Gabballo did not look like the kind of boxer that could go the distance with him, turns out he can't! Lee looks really good, Junior Welterweight is a tough division though but he's young so he has all the time in the world to build himself up. 

Last I heard the new mandatory for IBF belt was Boots, but Crawford has requested IBF make it him instead. Spence is caught between a rock and a hard place especially with Ugas unable to unify. IBF seems to have a mess on their hands so Crowley might be waiting a little while before he becomes a mandatory. 

105er and WBA Champion Knockout scores a great... knockout. Luckily for him because if he wasn't able to pull it off he was going to be renamed to Unanimous Decision

I’m suprise I haven’t heard till today that Paul vs Woodley was happening, I thought you were the boxing guy, but you didn’t inform me of this fight, a complaint have be issue

Apologies for that. I have a strategy I don't speak about it, it doesn't happen. A bit like Belal Mohamed victories!  Ha, I joke.

Probably won't be posting here for a while as boxing takes in yearly Xmas holidays. Pretty much nothing of note from no until end of January. Unless you count Aussie shows featuring "famous" Aussie Rules guys(I don't) Russian prospects (I do!) PBC Xmas Day Prospects (Hmmm), Kazuto Ioka in Japanese New Years show(I do, tho it's a bummer that the Ancajas unifications dead!) , oh and a PBC Jan 1st PPV featuring 55year old Luis Ortiz!!!

Yeah so, not much in the world of boxing, or combat in general so I won't be here as much. Well that's a lie as I'll still be updating the boxing database, still many, many MANY, MANY things missing in my mission to make Tapology a go to place for boxing!

But yeah, hope everyone has a good Xmas and a happy new year and all the best.
Hopefully will see many of you guys still active on the site in the New Year. 

Stanionis has stepped aside and Spence vs Ugas is being made for March or April next year. Stanionis is now fighting Radzhab Butaev, the winner will likely get the victor of the Spence vs Ugas fight.

Yeah, good fight, could be a great fight actually! Ugas is really good, he has 4 losses from early in his career so I've been able to get him as an underdog vs Pacquiao, Figueroa and James. He'll be underdog again vs Spence but I think I'm going to back Ugas again? Maybe?  Spence is really good, like P4P good, but I have questions about the car accident and the following retinal damage, that's serious career altering ****!
Won't happen til March April time so plenty time to think about it. 
Stanionis is being included in the new group of young Welterweight along with Boots, Ortiz and Benn. IMO Boots smashes everybody! And I think Stanionis is a good prospect but nothing stands out, he's a classic does everything good nothing great guy. And Butaev may be a guy who I also pick as an underdog, not sure if he will be an underdog but he's got that 1 loss on his record so chances are he'll be the underdog!
That fight likely is the Co Main on a Spence Ugas PPV.

Good start to next year lining up. With this early Spring, Chocolatito Estrada 3, Charlo Castano 2, Usyk Joshua 2 and maybe even Fury Whyte all by next Spring! 

I suspect the step-aside pay included a clause that he's the mandatory for whoever wins between Spence-Ugas as their still technically part of the tournament. It's a good match up, and maybe I'm being a little melodramatic but I don't think at this point we're gonna be seeing Crawford vs Spence. 

You reckon Boots even beats your fellow countryman Josh Taylor if he were to move up?

Hmmm. Now you've got me thinking!!

I love Josh Taylor, he is the best boxer my country has produced since Ken Buchanan, best in my lifetime for sure.
But Boots man, I think he's special. Like a bigger Bud Crawford.  That's the guy who Josh should aim to fight if, when, he moves up. At least Bud has the resume and established P4P name. I think Bud and Boots probably beat him but he'd get more credit for losing to Bud. 
I am not going to completely write off Josh tho coz he's a mad bastard and highly skilled, that's a great combination as a fighter chasing greatness!

Nice little KO Compilation. Boxings actually been pretty damn good in 2021. Big fights, good fights, big KO's, big upsets,, hopefully a sign of things to come.

I love that show. I'm currently watching Hajime no Ippo Rising for the first time. Eventually I wanna start reading the manga too.

Not boxing related but I also found a good MMA themed manga called All Rounder Meguru. Its surprisingly good better than any MMA movie I've ever seen. I've heard good things about another MMA themed manga called Teppu as well.

I got about 20 episodes into Hajime no Ippo but stopped watching for some reason gonna re watch it, its real good I will check those out thanks

LOL had no idea there were so many haters of The Red one, had GGG in second fight but I was a bigger fan of his.
I think this move will be a career defining one and have little faith Alvie can hang against the size and power of Illunga.
He is a scary dude I love his attitude and he is world wide, but having taken over a year off is troubling we shall see how his next fight goes.
