Foster vs. Cunningham

This is a very good match up! Pity the undercard is typical Frank Warren garbage!! Why is Callum Johnson not fighting Arthur, Yarde or someone at least in the top 25?? Anyway that's another story! The main event here is an actual decent well matched fight. The British, Commonwealth and European titles are all on the line. Foster has the British and Commonwealth, Cunningham has the European that he just won in a big upset (+1200) vs Gamal Yafai. This is 1 of those fights in boxing where the usual undefeated boxer easily beats the veteran journeyman. Not in this case. Foster has the better looking record but Cunningham has fought the better competition and his best win is much better than anything Foster has ever had. I'd say Cunningham is the better technical boxer too, he's a well schooled amateur and a crafty, slick southpaw. Foster has no amateur experience, he is a kickboxer turned boxer. Foster isn't a bad boxer, but there is a difference between being an experienced amateur and a kickboxer turned boxer. 1 thing Foster has in his favor is that he has a fantastic engine! He could outwork and out volume his way to victory. But I think he is going to struggle dealing with the crafty veteran southpaw. I'm taking Cunningham. As per usual when picking an underdog ( tho only very slight) I worry more about the judges! Foster is the Queensbury fighter so you know what it's like! Hopefully no shenanigans are had!

What a waste of time!!! Johnson was a genuine top 10 (maybe higher!?) 175ler. He gave Beterbiev his toughest fight, dropped him in a wild 4 round fire fight!! That was in 2018! Since then Johnson has fought 2 nothing fights. This opponent is even worse! Why is he going downwards???? Callum should have fought for another World Title or at least a top 10 World rated boxer. He's 36 now, his prime is wasted. Especially for an action fighter like him.
