So if the #1 ranked fighter in the division gets the shirt then are the BoxRec belts only for the P4P best guys? I mean, obviously the belt means nothing as you'll never see Tyson Fury introduced as the unified WBC and BoxRec Heavyweight World Champion but it doesn't surprise me that they have a belt. Though I'm not sure how I feel about record keeping sites/organisations recognising their own champions as that seems like a very slippery slope in terms of bias. I mean, imagine if Tapology used the sitewide rankings made up of all the users to crown the Tapology MMA World Champion of each division. Just seems like a real grey area to me.
Also, the BoxRec belt looks tacky as **** IMO.

It's not something that's fought for, I was just speaking about a cheap ass £5 t shirt that they send to boxers who end up no. 1 on their ranking system so they can take a picture with it! Ha
It has no meaning in terms of Championships

Actually, I quite like the idea of fighters fighting for a T-shirt instead of a belt. That would make boxing matches two shirtless guys fighting over the right to cover their tits! If I ever set up my own sanctioning body, I'd love to go in the ring and say "Congratulations on beating this absolute monster of a man, have a pink T-shirt!"

I haven't done any research so it might be fake but I got that picture off of BoxRec. If you right click on the image and then click "search Google for this image" it takes you to a search results page and the first thing on that page is this link to BoxRec's list of Champions (including every single BS belt. Seriously, I didn't know that Trevor Bryan was a Heavyweight World Champion or that the WBC has a "Diamond" belt)
